One person gets Ill you replace them with another bubble whilst they get tested. 4 hours ago, Zoo Music Girl said: What would happen to your ticket price though? Would they refund you? Not sure I'd take the chance on 300 quid. I imagine it'll be similar stance to if you got the measles etc before a normal festival. Tough. Maybe some refunds if you ask really nicely. Measles is a bit different though as you'd presumably only know you had it because you were ill with symptoms (and most people are vaccinated against it anyway so you wouldn't be likely to spread it). Issue with Covid is you'd feel fine and pay the money and then be told to go home. I quite like @Hugh Jass's idea about there being some kind of last minute exchange scheme on the gate. Nightmare to implement though. But so would any form of testing really so I can't really see that happening.

I wouldn’t do it on the gate, but maybe anyone who tests positive two weeks ahead of the fest can return their ticket to be resold and to sweeten the deal further maybe they get priority for next year. (This is mainly to stop people who have tested positive coming anyway because they don’t want to miss out).

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or a positive test you must remain at home for at least 10 days after the onset of your symptoms (see ending self-isolation below). This will reduce the risk of you infecting others.

Suprefan
But what about international. What do we have to do in hugh’s situation. Cant just up and cancel a trip because of a positive test that close to an event and next year nobody is going to give you that covid coverage anymore. Are they going to require anyone entering the country to have been vaccinated or to be tested as close to travel date as possible and then another time while in the country to ensure entry? I can't see some sort of quarantine going anywhere anytime soon so you'd have to arrive at least 5 days before and get 2 negative tests. eFestivals
Am watching the committee. https://committees.parliament.uk/event/1878/formal-meeting-oral-evidence-session/ The main push from Lloyd-Webber seems to be for a provisional normal re-opening date, so that events can plan to be ready to go on that date. That seems like a good idea, but as a provisional date it can still all go tits-up so I'm not really sure what great benefit there is with that provisional date. For the theatre, its make sense so they can start rehearsals/booking dates/planning e.t.c. Even if its off by a couple of weeks, it shouldnt be devastating. I think thats against it being like it was in August with 1 weeks notice!
