How do you feel?

Yep it seems weird regardless of vaccine status. I guess some people just must have natural immunity whether through sheer luck or perhaps having had a flu virus or something that was similar enough to it to have acquired the immunity. My friend caught it from his daughter just after Christmas last year and was very worried about his wife and other child getting it as his wife has quite bad asthma but despite her daughter kissing her etc before she knew she had it his wife never caught it.

Glad the funeral went well and is out of the way so to speak. The real healing from it all can begin now.

It's definitely a weird one. Very relieved nonetheless.

Thank you. You've been very kind. I hope all good with you x

Thank you all for your kind words on here the last few weeks. My mother's funeral was yesterday and I got through it. Was a good day in the end, although hard and very sad. Mainly I just feel relieved that that part is over with and I can make a bit of space for myself to deal with the loss now. Lots of love and support to all going through their own difficult times.

I'm really glad that the funeral went okay, although of course it will have been very sad. I hope that you're able to take plenty of time to process and go forth at your own pace over the coming weeks and months. And of course I don't need to tell you how valuable this place is to just talk about it all when it feels hard, and when it feels okay too. x

Thanks hopefully getting there but my poorly dog is definitely doing her best to cause us maximum stress. After a difficult couple of weeks we have found her another specialist who may be able to help. Unfortunately out of insurance until the new year so the £1000 bill for the initial consultation and scan is a hit we were hoping we wouldn't have to take (as well as the cost of getting up there, accommodation etc) Just as well she's cute right! It was her 7th birthday yesterday so we did a big celebration for her.

Happy Birthday! The insurance sitch is a kick in the teeth - feel for you. We were discussing this yesterday.

Sorry for your loss @Zoo Music Girl - just catching up here. Hope you are still bearing up

Since then the estimate has gone up to £1500. They reckon there are more body parts that need ultrasounding. Wouldn't mind but since we booked it she has walked every day. I swear she knows!! Up to 19.5k spent in 2 years. Thankfully 14k of it covered by insurance.

I'm feeling pretty angry. I've just been up to my allotment and some bastard has nicked my pumpkin. They took the best and biggest and left the scrawny ones in situ. You can't trust anyone these days. They are less than £1 in Tesco.

Hello Ommadawn,

Sorry to hear about your pumpkin loss. It really is hard to fathom out what kind of 'species' would do a thing like that. Well, it is up until the point where you think 'human', and you also think 'Yes, yes, that's the species'. However, they ( the pumpkin thieves) aren't representative in a 'majority' kind of a way. They are very much out there, but a very small subset all on their own. Don't be angry. Laugh your fucking bollocks off at them. Unless they actually needed them for food or some sort of very necessary wealth creation, then just laugh your bollocks off at them.

Actually, that's a tainted suggestion.* I hadn't thought about your situation until a bit more, just then. You did create their being (so to speak), and nurtured them along too. It was yours to harvest and not someone else's.

Fucking w*nkers.

That's what they'd be called.

* Far too long to explain, right now.

Anyway, as some sort of attempt to help you get out of your, quite understandable, angry mood, I offer this as a sort of medication (see track below);

Also, don't dwell and squander on it, if you can. The more time you spend in that direction, the more time you'll have wasted.

Talk about a waste of time - do you remember our 'plan' to get Micheal Eavis to run with the Olympic flag a few years ago?

We was fucking robbed mate!

That man deserved to have had that privilege - for his services to the arts, his and his families donations to charity, and for still sporting shorts regardless of how fucking cold it may be!

Please do enjoy your weekend.

All the best. 🙂
