Love how those graph show the rates starting to go down thanks to the lockdown, before Johnson and co unceremoniously ended it, to appease the anti-lockdown brigade, leading to a massive surge at the worst possible time and the need for an even harsher lockdown for a longer period of time.

Wales’ numbers have actually dropped every day for the past 4 days which tells you how much shit we were in and we didn’t even have much of the new variant.  It’s certainly a really bad time and mentally i have written off January and February.

what was your peak in cases ?  it does make me wonder about this new variant though ....

I think at the most ONS were talking of 100k cases per day weren't they ? or did I just pluck that figure from thin air ? the overwhelming of hospitals to me is the scariest thing ....

We peaked just shy of 650 which was driven by the south (Merthyr got to 1300 at one point).
