In some ways they are more likely to be wrong the other way. Pollsters make efforts to compensate for any issues they have those efforts could well move things too much in the opposite direction.

We are in Biden landslide territory, obviously things could change between now and the election, and there is room for Republican voter suppression chicanery so it's not a done deal but there is a significant chance of an historic defeat for Trump.

It definitely isn’t a done deal but a Biden landslide is a very real possibility going by recent polling. I think there’s more chance of that then Trump winning.

Something I’ve been really thinking about the last couple of days is something the UK government have never touched on but the German government have always stressed upon.

Ventilation.

Remembering this is an airborne virus, spread through droplets in the air, I strongly believe that mask wearing in public places is one of the key ways to reduce the spread. But there’s another key way to reduce the spread. We all know that being outside is safer than inside, so when we are inside having friends over why not open our windows to let the room be better ventilated to reduce transmission risk? Why don’t restaurants and pubs turn off the air con (recirculating air) and open their windows instead? I know we are getting into the winter months now but opening windows and ventilating rooms, even in the colder months, is a key strategy in Germany, and one I strongly believe we should adopt to try and reduce the spread.

I don’t know why the UK government have never addressed ventilation as a key point to stop the spread of the virus. I feel like in the UK we are so obsessed with cleaning and wiping everything down with antibacterial spray; as this virus spreads by mainly airborne transmission- how much effect does this really have? Always better to be safe than sorry, but I would put money on it that doing something as simple as opening up the windows and turning off any air con could have better reductions in transmission. I’m taking this from personal experience. When visiting to eat out in england, everything has to be wiped down and sprayed before you sit down- I didn’t see any of that in germany, the stress is on mask wearing and ventilation and minimal stress on sanitation and cleaning. And their rates have been consistently lower throughout the pandemic. So they must be doing multiple things better than us.

So let’s all try it, when you have people over, even if it’s just the plumber, open up your windows if you can and hopefully doing something so minimal together can help reduce the spread of this virus.

☺️

My numbers have Biden winning the electoral college by the exact same margin that Trump won it last time. I think Biden will gain North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin plus a congressional district in each of Maine and Nebraska.

Here’s the key point though, I have Biden winning all those states pretty easily whereas I think Trump will hang on by the skin of his teeth in Florida, Georgia, Ohio and Texas. If my numbers are underrating Biden by a couple of points then you’re looking at the biggest landslide since George Bush senior best Michael Dukakis in the 80’s

Florida?  I thought Biden was ahead beyond the margin of error in Florida?  Like 7 - 11 points ahead?

Most polls have Biden slightly ahead it seems

I am going to put a wager on Biden to win 400+ electoral college votes, it’s 6/1 so might be a good fun bet to support Biden

He’s ahead by that margin in some of the polls, the average polling according to fivethirtyeight has a consistent lead for Biden and projects him to win the state 70 out of 100 times.

That graphic of the two of them is bizarre! They look like they're having a bubble bath together. Or foaming at the mouth.

That’s a real niche category on PornHub 😉

I think I’ve figured out Trump’s game here. I’m not sure if it was all preplanned or quickly devised once he tested positives, but here’s what I think happened

1. Trump tests positive. I’ve no doubt this actually happened, just not sure if he deliberately caught the virus or not

2. He pretended to be very sick, despite the fact that he only ever had very mild symptoms

3. He purports to be getting treated with some “experimental medicine cocktail”

4. Miraculous recovery

5. Then he can go on TV and bang on about how they’ve found this miracle cure that they’re going to make widely available if he gets re-elected

The last TV Debate is going to be a real shit show. Trump continue to reap his own whirlwind appealing only to his base which can only mean he'll lose next month. He's got to go for Bidens throat. There arent enough undecided's - he needs to turn Biden voters. Christ knows what lies and crap he'll try to throw at Biden
