Were you there ? did you buy the ticket in the UK ?

Just could not get a ticket in the UK but Holland had double the allocation so got a friend in Amsterdam to get me one.

Was with two Dutch friends who speak perfect English and German so that was a great help.

We drove there and as they know Potsdamer Platz we were able to find a free parking space on a side street. { car was parked all weekend } 

Lots of people we ran into on Friday 20th of July 1990 in Berlin thought it was a Pink Floyd concert !!!!

Amazing concert - shame about the loss of sound { some amps blew } - We were asked back to a Warehouse Party and as we were leaving - the band came back on stage and repeated the parts that were missing.

what a cracking weekend and well worth the hassle over getting there.

I think the tickets worked out at under £20 each.

There was some terrible stuff. BUT.... I think The Division Bell was pretty fucking great in all honesty.

I like this era of Floyd. It obviously cannot match the Meddle - > Wall era, but then what can? But despite a few dodgy songs (Dogs of War) its all very listenable with great playing and production and some fantastic songs in there (On The Turning Away, Yet Another Movie, Poles Apart, High Hopes). I certainly prefer it to Roger's solo stuff, which I appreciate as being better lyrically but I find quite a slog tbh. Aural Aids indeed....

I first saw Floyd at Wembley in 1988, and remember it as an epic spectacle, but find watching the Delicate Sound of Thunder footage a painful experience now. What was left of the band was augmented by too many over-enthusiastic extra musicians, and saxophonist Scott Page’s mullet was truly horrific. Things had improved a lot by 1994; the Division Bell album and tour stand up a lot better.

'This Is Not A Drill' tour.....kicks off in Pittsburgh on July 8th.  No UK or Europe dates yet but.......

He can't headline Pyramid on Friday as he's done it before.....but Other Stage....???

We can hope.....

The shows are ‘in the round’. Can’t imagine him kicking off the tour on the Other somehow, as marvellous as it would be

Would his new tour dates put him in the running to headline next year? USA this year UK the next would make sense.

I'm buzzing for this....after we missed Us +Them I really thought I'd never see Roger again.

Last Sunday morning we had a walk down the Thames at Hampton and found Gilmour's houseboat/studio 'Astoria'.....I've had Floyd on rotation in the car since so this news tops the week 👍

Really enjoyed the Us and Them show, far exceeded my expectations so looking forward to the new show arriving here. Never seen a show n the round so that would be interesting too.

I can only find references to this being a US tour....nothing that says US only....but no mention of anything outside the States/Canada.

He couldn't not do some UK/Europe dates.....could he?  Tell me I'm wrong.

Woah, I always wanted to be that mulleted sax player as a youth. Just hang around and look cool waiting for the moment to get centre stage for 30 seconds and milk the adoration before clearing off again.

Seemed a sweet deal, still does. Sax players have the right idea even if they have been out of work for 30 + years ( bar the bloke with Ezra furman who’s brilliant).

I wish I could tell you that you're wrong.

But. He did this last time with Us & Them didn't he? Extensive Americas and European tour and then announces only five UK gigs, with one whole night in London at the appalling Hyde Park. Whoopee. He could have sold out Wembley Stadium at least twice I reckon. And let's face it, he's getting on a bit. A tour that extensive has to take it out of you.

If this doesn't make it to the UK I'll be as gutted as I was that Rush's R40 was America only.

When I saw him back in 2018, glasgow I just assumed I would never see him again. That was a tremendous gig with fantastic effects. The cheap seats actually gave a better view of them. Would love another chance to see him. Hopefully brings this tour to the UK .
