Tomos_
'Always Up' is a song from the Low album?
SweepingTheNation
Of course, I'd been looking at the wrong part of the text - and that would go alongside the Facebook "still trying to work it out" Edited January 30, 2019 by SweepingTheNation
Tomos_
If it is Low I think they'd be a pretty good Thursday headliner?

eagles69
so definite Low and Courtney Barnett!! The other one seems to be a toss up between Beirut and Metromony

eagles69
Going back to the writing at the top looks like Low and Barnett so I think it means Metronomy most likely
Tomos_
Where do you think Courtney Barnett would be on the bill? Headliner? I'm not sure she's quite big enough... Edited January 30, 2019 by Tomos_
eagles69
I would say headliner as it fits in with the female ethos at EOTR now that Sharon Van Etten wont be playing

It's possible these three they're teasing are all Woods sub-headliners, or one is Thursday headliner.
WM Hall
Metronomy could easily headline. Headlined Brixton Academy and Somerset House in recent years. Have a lengthy and quite well-known back catalogue. If Bat For Lashes can headline, Metronomy certainly can. That's not to say it's an interesting booking though... goldengirl
Everything since the English Riviera has been underwhelming for me... I'm hoping for Deerhunter, Pond and Animal Collective personally.

I don't think they're purposefully hinting at headliners, just acts that are playing.
Guy Incognito
Low headlining the Garden whilst Courtney is on the Woods stage would suit me fine.
Tomos_
Eels playing a festival in Sweden on the Thursday (29th August) and Italy on the 1st and 2nd of September (Saturday and Sunday). Getting to Dorset for the Friday might be a bit of a long shot...
Mardy
I’ll be delighted if it is (as seems likely) Courtney Barnett.

Mardy
Low strike me as the quintessential Thursday night band, following Slowdive and Yo Lo Tengo. I'll admit to being bemused by Simon's choice of Thursday night entertainment on the Woods, but there does seem to be something of a pattern. wolfamongwolves
I like the shout for Beirut good chance I feel. Feeling overly confident about Deerhunter and panda bear making an appearance. Sleater Kinney mogwai Courtney Barnett Beth gibbons definitely sounds plausible A hawk and a hacksaw . And my dream every year Bonnie Prince Billy .
