I dunno, I just don't like the idea of posh anything at Glastonbury really. Course Glastonbury means different things to different people, there will be people there who couldn't give a shit about the causes the festival donates to and seeks to represent. Bloody hell, even a couple of years ago when they had Corbyn on doing his speech on the Pyramid I was reading comments all over Facebook and articles with people saying to keep politics out of Glastonbury, and I'm sat there thinking what... Sorry I'm on a hungover ramble, celebrated a little bit too much getting tickets yesterday, managed to wait nearly four hours after getting tickets for first pint, mind.. But yeah, summat about gentrification at Glastonbury just feels wrong to me with it really being a product of inequality and I can see how that can be used against the festival's causes. Cos that's what people are like and Glastonbury's full of hypocritical liberal elite champagne socialists or some bollocks like that, cos people think attacking a character is better than debating anything they stand for. Anyway, like I say Glastonbury means different things to different people and I'll definitely be getting different things out of it. I'm probably over-thinking and under-articulating Do you feel better now you've got that off your tits? ? Agree with you! I do have to say that 2016 was infinitely better by having the tipi and showers to deal with mudgate. I did 'slum it' last year and baked alive in my tent - I even got up every morning to sit outside the Oxfam showers!

Slightly, but still hungover and I've got to go to work in an hour 2016 was a horrorshow for me, my muddiest Glastonbury but somehow not sure if it makes my top three muddiest festivals... I could've really done with some glamping that year, I'd been in a hit and run a week and half before the festival, right pain in the arse trying to get around with a buggered leg in that. F'ing hell. I've got surgery on my foot before the end of the year, so hoping it'll all be in order by Glasto!

Definitely the worst experience I've had at Glastonbury, but I'd still rate it above not going. Fingers crossed you're sorted by then too. Dave_c
We are considering worthy view and a 2 man bell tent. Anyone any experience of how big these are? Can they take a double air bed, for example?

Tipis are £1075 / £180-ish each and they're in a cracking spot. When do the Tipi's go on sale?

Deaf Nobby Burton
I’m pretty sure the Tipi village sells out instantly, essentially as soon as they go up for sale they’ve all gone, we’re not talking tickets sale timeframes, literally within the second they go up, so you have to be pretty lucky and quick to get one. The sale lasts around 5 minutes - usually as long as you're there, refreshing the page and quick with your details, you'll get one. It's a pretty big expense, so there are less people trying to get those.

There is also the Pop Up Boutique Hotel, outside the Fence, near Pedestrian gate D. I was told by one of the security blokes there that the most expensive package was 40k for the Festival period for a massive marquee type tent. cb4747
There's also ZooLoos which is a 10 min walk from Gate D. Not bad prices and they do shower and toilet facility only packages for £99. Well worth it. I won it in 2015 and it was a pleasant change to have a shower and nice toilet every morning, and the 10 minute walk was quite refreshing. Does anyone have at least a rough idea of how far the Zooloos camp is? I mean, in distance rather than time. I have multiple sclerosis and can't always walk long long distances without taking considerable breaks and I don't think I could now cope with the uphill walk to Worthy View, so comfort and reasonable distance have become 'a thing' for me. A lot farther Zooloos-Pyramid than Worthy View-Pyramid? I'm sorry, but I had never had to pay attention to actual distances @ Glasto before. It's always been just about walking around without a care in the world. Now I have to make sure I'll be able to go back to my tent every night ? I'm guessing the absolute ideal would be the tipi village, no? But booking one is harder than booking tickets, so ... I think I would rather be in disabled camping if possible, then if it was a bad day you could still use the transport to get around the site.
