Yelo, the Parmiggiana
Can't see Tame Impala happening, after PKP announcement today. Every festival knows the aces it got in its sleeve and it would be stupid to hype so much an announcement of only two bands, which both happen to be at Sziget (and also Lowlands, if I recall correctly). The Killers could be a good call, but I'm not so fond for betting on headliners that has not been announced anywhere in Europe so far, at this stage of the game

I choose to ignore this totally logical assumption.
#1SzigetFan
I think that Tame Impala (yay) and Cardi B (kinda nay) are coming...
On The Blend
Have you got anything to back that up or is it more of a feeling?

Bit different hyping a band for a fest in Belgium and them potentially playing in Hungary.

On The Blend
I can so see it. We're missing a pop headliner, she's active in Europe this summer, another female headliner would be some welcome diversity. As a booking it does nothing for me but it sounds very very possible. Just a feeling. However both acts are on tour in August and Cardi B is currently only at Way Out West in August (they have the same owners as Sziget). The two festivals also shared Kendrick Lamar and Arctic Monkeys last year. Cardi B also won at the Grammys yesterday, so maybe big festival organizers already knew the winners, but kept it a secret until now... they might promote her as the first female artist that won the "Best Rap Album" etc. Edited February 12, 2019 by #1SzigetFan
swelsbyuk
If Cardi B plays then I hope it's as co-headliner with Martin Garrix as we already planned on giving that evening a miss anyway! Looking back on previous years' Clashfinders, I'd say Cardi B wouldn't really fit with what's gone before too much. But her appearance at Way Out West does make me wonder if it might be her. ShutUpDonny
The good news is I can probably sell my solo Franz show ticket. However, the rest is pretty meh, apart from Razorlight (00s nostalgia ftw) and Yeasayer. Welshly Arms are an intriguing band too. #1SzigetFan
Worse than I expected
eivomracsy
i was expecting far worse. again 6 or 7 acts i would like to see. one of them being wanda!
thetime
Just a typical sziget announcement for me, a lot of padding for a 7 day festival.
Mondo-kun
Franz Ferdinand, Razorlight, Years & Years, Tove Lo, Jain and Welshly Arms is a go for me. IMO any bandwave would be weak against the first one.
eivomracsy
also, if we are lucky post will play before garrix
Yelo, the Parmiggiana
So we have an A38 filler announcement? I guess Post-Malone will co-head with Garrix and Franz Ferdinand and James Blake are sub-head (or JB even head of A38). Those and Years & Years, other than that I see no name for the Main Stage
#1SzigetFan
I surfed the acts list and I think that Protoje & The Indiggnation and Hucci are interesting! Franz Ferdinand are also cool of course, so if they won't clash with something more interesting I'll attend their gig once again. The rest are meh to me. On The Blend
There's certainly some interesting stuff in there. James Blake, Protoje, Razorlight and Franz Ferdinand are some quality nostalgia. I just feel like I'm haunted by the spectre of Post Malone.
