Well there's something, apologies @Suprefan, I never thought these would be something like Hyde Park. I thought Hyde Park more aimed for middle aged middle class folk.

They've done "pop" stuff in the past (Little Mix were booked during the pandemic, for instance) but primarily it's settled into older artists with older fanbases, which seems like a decent business model since it always seems to sell well. Younger stuff like Blackpink that could easily do a couple of nights at the O2 is a no brainer to book though.

Its all good. Fair play, thats how the internet is. Its going to  sell out fairly quick on top of that. Once they realize its entirely GA its going to be insanity. I will guarantee you there will be kids sleeping somewhere in Hyde for a week before hand to be first inside. And some will sneak in other ways. Def predicting fence jumpers.

Bst has had Taylor do it, hows that aimed at older folk btw.

Yeah I thought they were just gonna book big legacy acts and Mum & Dad favourites for the future. Certainly worked well for them in recent years. When they book something different like Kendrick it doesn't sell so well.

I'm not saying they only have acts aimed at older folks, but they have been leaning into it as of recent time. Springsteen, Elton, Stones, Pearl Jam etc.

In fairness, I think @Suprefan has got all the BST names correct so far. The final one predicted was Take That. How confident are you of that one?

The normal BST source said all the names plus Adele, Take That, Elton John and still trying to get Taylor

They had Post Malone and Kendrick booked for 2020 as well

See above post.

I'd argue they are moving more towards younger acts if anything. Not rapidly and its not going to turn into wireless but its moving that way

I don't think so, I do think they have a couple of younger acts each year though.

2020 was just an anomaly if anything it seems. Theres a few this year but not 4/6 like in 2020.

Really don't want to pick feathers about a throwaway comment I made about the target demographic about BST but look at 2019, 2018. This year is Bruce, Elton (rumoured), BP, Pink, Billy Joel. Hardly aiming for millennials

Neil just mentioned Taylor Swift looks to be a goer in the BST thead, which would make it seven shows booked out of a likely nine - two nights apiece for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and P!nk, plus single shows for Billy Joel, Blackpink and Taylor Swift.

That would leave... two?

Taylor Swift simply does not add up with currently announced shows and then Take That, Elton and Adele. She'd 100% have multiple shows too it just doesn't make any sense.

    • I'm bemused why Jaissle hasn't been confirmed yet. If he and his coaches are already there, surely the paperwork to send this through must be somewhat sorted and confirmation imminent, no?   Feel like clubs are soft on tapping up now as an industry, right? I swear most deals seem to be a case that personal terms are agreed beforehand. In an older life, this Bruno deal has a potential case imo given the use of intermediaries to plant a seed in Bruno's mind this was a good idea (much I'm prepared to accept last season's mess would likely have had Bruno doubting if he wanted to stay regardless) but the industry seems more forgiving of this stuff at present. Wind seems to be picking up that a deal is about to happen regardless. Shame as I'd have been more willing to accept a move to Real Madrid but it is what it is.   Would be nice if we could show some more balls with this stuff tbf. Feel like the owners are taking a strange lesson from Isak last year in that now, we just have to let everyone go at the first sign of trouble, even though other clubs in a similar boat to us are seemingly more willing to turn back and tell pursuers to f**k off.
    • I wouldn't. U2 would almost certainly be doing stadiums and Muse have been saying they have stadium shows booked. They're the likelier of the two to be doing BST Hyde Park, but my expectations would be to expect them turning up at a stadium.
    • Exactly. One rumour doing the rounds was that they were playing 2 stadium shows in Greece next summer and that I would assume it'll be part of the same tour to do a London stadium gig.
    • Fontaines would be excellent, if not for the fact R+L have them this year. Spurs feels bold - though achievable, of course.
    • Start your engines.    Going to hazard a guess at St. Vincent, Faith No More and LCD Soundsystem as the more boutique "coup" options.    Expect Rick Astley one among the Radio 2-friendly bankers.    Let the guesswork commence!
