Sat here listening to them now, I miss them at Glasto. Used to be nailed on they would be on somewhere. Alas, no more for reason unknown to me.

I imagine with Beautiful Days they now have their own annual festival so less necessary?

It's probably for them the one to avoid these days given it's very close and it takes a lot of potential people away, somewhere like Victorious last year won't.

so 2 years later he let them headline to what some at the time said was "largest crowd ever at pyramid"

Yes They Have 

Now I am not a huge fan of The Levellers but somehow I am always close to where they are performing and I even saw them in 1992 and  24 June 1994 - I just keep bumping into them

I had no idea they were playing - I was just on a wander as I had arranged to meet someone so I had a hour to kill and blow me - there they were playing

Cant recall I have seen them since 2010 {but since 2013 I have been unable to walk far so have not been on any wanders for the past few years.}

Last saw them play at the London Olympics observation area in Hyde Park back in 2012. Sounding pretty good. I'd definitely be up for seeing them again. Levelling The Land is a bit of a classic.

They've got a great one day festival in Manchester the week after Glastonbury, them and The Waterboys, two of my favourite bands. Not able to go unfortunately, so really hoping they do get added to the bill.  Can't do BDs this year either.

Just to add, they didn't headline NME in 92. They played 3rd on the Pyramid on Saturday evening, before Lou Reed and Shakespear's Sister.

NME headliners that year were Primal Scream, The Shamen and 808 State.
