I usually find that first announcements are disappointing, but subsequent ones start to get really interesting. But then I've never been that bothered with the headliners, it's all about the strong middle to lower order for me.

Normally in the first couple of weeks of February. So a while to wait yet.

I'm convinced they could announce earlier, but they spend so much time editing their elaborate announcement videos, that we get a delay.

Ha! Just remembered posting this at the beginning of December

they've just posted on their facebook page saying the announcement will be next week:

'' Things are gearing up at EOTR HQ and we'll be revealing our secrets next week. Make sure you're following our official 2017 playlist which we'll be updating along the way with new songs and some of our favourites once we unveil who's on the bill. Stay tuned. ''

So, could be Monday or could be over a week away!

They usually announce on a Tuesday don't they? Seem to recall it brightening up dreary winter's Tuesday morn in previous years.

Think Father John Misty might headline.

Not sure he's a headliner myself.

Agree. After hearing his interview on RadMac last year I went right off him. Came across as an arrogant bellend.

Be amazed (and amazing) if they landed Nick Cave. I expect to see some of these at eotr this year: Fleet Foxes, Wilco, alt-j, Shirley Collins, Arab Strap, Grandaddy, Frightened Rabbit, Car Seat Headrest.

Think he's on 6 again this morning with Lauren.

    • Geese playing for 1:20 instead of just an hour was a lovely surprise. The energy was great!
    • Oh well that's why then, I assumed it was still the same. Thanks!
    • Think this will be it...I think they are a level above trees.
