DomDom1984
Franz Ferdinand won't be there either. Exclusive to Belladrum in Scotland.
xtrmntr75
That's quite a coup for Belladrum
Threestripes
Hotel prices are creeping up already. When do we think this will become official? Edited November 29, 2016 by Threestripes
Gucci Piggy
If the first two headliners are Radiohead and The Cure, and if they are booking the headliners now/recently, I could see the third being Green Day on account of them having no Scottish date. Don't really appeal to the same crowd but they will draw in a slightly older crowd and less of the crowd they seem to be trying to move away from. And if it's a day ticket only affair it wouldn't really matter that they don't appeal to Radiohead/Cure fans.

They were outstanding at titp years back so we're the crowd watching them.
SilverLining
Cure, Radiohead and Green Day. Imagine they were actually announced as TITP headliners would be the strongest top three in yonks. I really hope the first two play and I agree Green Day are looking very very likely as they have just announced a show in Ireland around the same time. hamishrankin
What's the evidence of Cure over Coldplay? Also agree on Green Day so for me, headliners are: Radiohead Coldplay Green Day

harryomatic
Interesting... Green Day playing Bellahouston Park on 4th July, promoted by PCL Presents. Directly competing pretty much with the new DF concert it would seem!
Shootenanny!
Was very surprised to see that announced but definitely planning to try and get a ticket tomorrow!
Threestripes
Chemical brothers were frighteningly good last night. A dance act that would appeal to the older crowd....

That would have been much handier.

SilverLining
I dont know why everyone is saying coldplay are they not doing a stadium show really close to the time? Also yeah +1 for the chemical brothers, Ed Simons tweeted last night saying 'we'll be back glasgow' so maybe a bit of hope but im not holding out for anything. DomDom1984
Coldplay are doing stadium shows but not in Scotland.
dentalplan
Aye but they're doing places they missed off last year, like Ireland and Wales whereas Scotland and England got a visit on this tour. They have apparently knocked back festival bosses saying they wouldn't be doing festivals and I imagine Glasgow Green will get the same. With their stage setup you can see why. Obviously they did Glasto last year but they had all sorts of different things going on in the set to carry it off without the props, plus the history with the festival. DomDom1984
Aye. I'm skeptical myself, but the talks are apparently happening, and I don't think they needed the props at Glasto. Their stage show wasn't actually that different to what I seen at Hampden for what it's worth. Think we could be looking at Biffy Clyro, The Cure and Radiohead as the top three. Maybe take out Biffy and put in Muse who aren't exclusives.
harryomatic
Looking at some announcements today - could have The Lumineers or Stevie Nicks. Both supporting Tom Petty on Sunday 9th July.
Comfy Bean
Wouldn't be surprised if Paolo Nutini was involved. Plus James as one of the supports. Edited December 13, 2016 by comfortablynumb1910
