When has the best vibes at a gig ever been on the front row? Four rows back, minimum.

Obviously an Adele gig, nobody in front to block your video when she stops the show to warm the nation's heart by pointing out something banal, or make a reference to shitting herself. Naturally filmed in portrait, which will come out looking and soundng like gitched copy of Doom, which you can annoy your friends and colleagues and coworkers with. Maybe sell it to Buzzfeed, "We can't get enough of Adele stopping her show to tell venue bar staff the label is sticking out of her top" or "Adele stopping show to ask couple in the front row what they had for tea is EVERYTHING!" or "14 times Adele's poo story game was too real!".

Front row for Bonobo, lads.

What did you make of it then? I thought it was really good, pretty different to what I was expecting too. I wasn't expecting it to be quite as bath time music as you'd been worried about but it was much heavier and more intense than I'd thought, even accounting for the new album being a different beast to the others. Seemed to go down really well with the crowd too. I know he subbed it last time round but headlining a big outdoor stage like West Holts with that set would be the ideal slot for him. Not sure if yer man @bennyhana22 has seen him on this tour yet but I know he's a fan and I reckon he'd be really into it.

I KNEW this show would be much more of a party - thanks for reporting back, kc.

Really pumped for seeing him at Glastonbury now and the WH headliner dream stays alive (please not Friday, please not Friday...).

Loyle Carner, Thundercat and Songhoy Blues were all various degrees of great.  Thundercat especially.  My dude has mad skills.

No opinion of Bonobo? It was slightly different as to what I expected, good though

Yeah as much as I'm firmly #TeamWestHolts now it's Sunday or nothing really. I think it would go down great at Glastonbury though, especially headlining a stage like that.

I can confirm that Bonobo played and that I watched said performance.

On a more positive note, seeing Baloji later on today - I think he maybe played in The Gully last year.

My man has game.

Once he gets a couple more big jams in his repertoire he's gonna be a phenomenon.

Yeah I got his self confirmation last year - checked him out and was impressed. Hoped to catch the Gully set you mentioned but it classically went by the wayside when the rest of the line up came out.

He's playing the main stage at Latitude so I'm hoping for a similar graduation at Glasto.

    • Wasn't just me who thought it was either oversold or inadequately setup for the event then? For Pride, over the weekend, where there's also acts in the large blue marquee that was to the right of the "arena" (for want of a better term), it's probably much better as people are dispersed more. Thought the band were great, as was Nick, though he was clearly struggling with his voice at times.
    • I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳
    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
