I don't know what slot she's actually playing, I just know that she's going to be there. My suggestion that she could sub was purely speculation, and also assumed that she's be subbing Kendrick but it's been suggested that 30STM would be more likely to sub him due to their tour dates, in which case she's probably 3rd main or NME headline.

However, it's still possible that 30STM could sub Royal Blood on the Friday at Reading and Saturday at Leeds, giving them Sunday off. I'm still predicting it to be Royal Blood / 30STM, Kendrick / Dua Lipa, Foos / Courteeners, with Travis Scott headlining NME against Foos, or possible Royal Blood.

It’d be physically possible I’m sure but I think it’s the least likely day given that it means they do four consecutive days with a three hour flight from Hungary right in the middle of it. I guess supporting Foos and only doing three days on the trot in three countries would allow for Dua Lipa to sub Kendrick.

I'd have guessed that if thats the case, it's likely your source just saw like the top couple of lines from the top 2 stages. That would give us something like this (all the acts you have mentioned are underlined in red, everyone else is just who was left from my previous prediction). You could swap Dua with J Hus, or tbh thinking about it what is probably more likely is if you put her where Faithless is and move them over to where Pendulum is I think that fits better maybe?

TBH, the only acts I have added where Faithless (who seem like a bit of a random booking but after Fatboy last year I wouldn't be suprised, especially after how popular he was), PVRIS (who I don't really expect to play as they already did mainstage on this album last year) and Dua (obvious choice for V Fest). The rest just got shuffled around a bit and imo it still looks fairly alright

I reckon if Fatboy Slim was on the Dance Stage last year then Faithless would be too.

Faithless (DJ set) would probably headline the dance stage. Faithless as a live act would get bigger billing, however they haven’t done a live show for a couple of years and would be kind of out of place at Reading and Leeds.

I’m assuming this is a wind up but I’ll bite. They’re in Europe the week before and the week after R&L

Are they? (I've not been paying attention tbf, I just know they're doing Rock Am Ring at the start of summer, which is why I'm surprise they're being talked about).

I heard they had booked Radiohead with Fall Out Boy subbing, but when they pulled out they got Biffy and had to bump FoB up to coheadline

Ah right, that makes sense. Shame as Radiohead would have gone down well. Then again, Biffy seemed to go down well. Not so sure about FoB, not particularly a fan of them.

I expect that if they were booked (as randlfan has said) they'd do a live show and headline that stage. I know everyone was expecting Fatboy Slim to headline the NME last year, and Faithless doing a live show (especially if it was an exclusive) would be a bigger booking than Fatboy Slim doing another dj set (he was everywhere last year).

I know this might kick up a shit storm but would you be surprised if Reading and Leeds went and booked Harry Styles?

Not listened to the album but the songs he's released not exactly 1D style.

I think as a name he wouldn't go down well, same way 5 Seconds Of Summer are more pop punk than anything else but the name is associated with 1D.

Do you think that Chvrches could be about would they be a sub or a NME headliner?

They'd sub if they play I think. They subbed a co-head last time so sub would be the right step up as I don't think they'd take the same slot or go down to NME.

Would Faithless doing a live set be more popular than acts who actually headline the NME though? It just seems odd that they’d book such an act who isn’t currently on tour over the DJ set which would get a more inconspicuous placing and is currently on tour, but it’s possible I guess. Another one for the disenfranchised V audience.

They’re not One Direction fare but they’re not anything R+L bothers itself with either. Bit Radio 2 really. If it was like Fightstar then fair enough.

If they aren’t subbing Parklife, I don’t suppose they’d be subbing R+L either.

When I posted this before everyone thought I was crazy, but I wouldnt be surprised to see him headline the NME or something. His album was a lot more rocky, could easily be used to cater to the Bastille pop-rock audience. Would be a risky booking potentially though, and again think he would be more likely for V fest anyway

He'd probably want a big slot, probably a sub slot. Wouldn't surprise me if he went and sub kendrick if he had to play.
