When the Glade announce will they also announce the other stages in that area. I.E Glade Lounge, Spaceport, The Spike? Or would we have to wait until the full line-up? The Glade area is the big one for me.

they announced them all in the Glade announcement last year.

Do you think there's a chance on the big announcement we will get anything pretty big but not cheesey from pre 2000? Or have all the big names been mentioned on the first poster?

Obviously other than radiohead.

There's a list here of bands that were added last year:

Maybe wise to ignore The Libertines, Who and Weller though as they were announced later for other reasons!

Bit gutted really. Sometimes it sucks when the music you like is a niche within a niche.

Fingers crossed for something more to my taste in Shagri La somewhere, but I'm not holding my breath.

:(

Although there's still plenty of great stuff on there, and I'm still gonna have a wicked time regardless.

@Junglist1981 out of curiosity what producers/djs do you like?

Guessing he likes jungle - so look out for Shangri-La and Arcadia...

Yea I got that, but I read elsewhere that none of the dnb took his fancy, so was just intrigued... Serum, bladerunner and Aphrodite in the common (most likely the cave) will have a jungle sound, albeit still playing dnb (can't speak for Aphrodite mind haven't heard anything from him in years)

That's true.  I'm a big jungle fan too - hoping for something like Source Direct or Goldie in the Spaceport.  Actually that's a point - Glade area had a fair amount of jungle last year...

Despite my username I am in fact a massive D&B snob. Although to be honest when it comes down to it I actually enjoy most forms of Jungle and D&B, especially after a few beers, so I'm just being a big cry baby really and should be ignored.

However the D&B I love the most is at the deeper/liquid end of the spectrum and doesn't tend to get as much love on lineups. In particular I'm a big fan of Calibre, Marcus Intalex & all things Soul:ution, dBridge & all things Exit, Alix Perez, Lenzman, Randall, DJ Flight, Fabio, Fracture, Zero T, Seba, Breakage (with his d&b hat on), quite a lot of Metalheadz stuff, so Goldie (sometimes), Storm, Jubei, Loxy, also Bukem, Makoto, Mark System, Total Science, Ed Rush & Optical... A lot of those had played in London Underground over the last 6 years so I'm kinda gutted to see nothing of the sort in there this time around.

This tune for me encapsulates Jungle at its best

This for the D&B

No one on the line-up so far would play either of those.

The solitary big win for me on the line up is Ivy Lab, and maybe also Dub Phizix & Strategy. But they're all playing in Silver Hayes, so I'll probably miss them. Whoop.

Anyway, I'll shut up about it now and let the announcement speculation continue :)

Fingers crossed for Shangri La by the end of the week!

this float your boat @junglist ? have no idea how big they are but this has been on my playlists since the dawn of time as it reminds of good times with some mates who used to be really into the d&b/jungle scene and we had this blasting a fair bit.

Yeah I love that tune, it's one of those that everyone wanted back in the day, but it's been a little bit rinsed to death now unfortunately. Still gets a big response though, which is remarkable really given that it's over 20 years old!

The amazing thing about Jungle is that there was just a HUGE amount of really good stuff made between 92 and 96 that was only ever pressed to vinyl and released on labels that are long since defunct, so it's really hard to come by now. You can spend hours on discogs going through all this crazy old stuff. I know nothing really compared to some people out there.

I honestly believe that Jungle/Drum & Bass is one of this country's finest cultural creations in the last century. I'm massively proud that it's still going strong after all these years :)

Yea I'm totally with you, was really hoping for dBridge and Alix Perez in London Underground. Seen some of the best drum and bass sets in LU over the years, I really think that space lends itself to that kind of deep liquid sound more than anywhere else at the festival

Just remember that Arcadia always has one of the best d&b line ups every year, whilst it's a lot more jump up it's still not pushing towards cheesy for the most part

For sure, and things are a hell of a lot better for big stage D&B now than they were in the mid to late 2000's when that horrible screechy jump up sound was fucking EVERYWHERE.  Since then it migrated over to completely ruin dubstep and thankfully it's all but disappeared now :)

I was just having a little wobbler earlier because I got none of my favourites, like the spoilt twat that I am. Will certainly make do with what there is.

Plenty more to come I'm sure. Spaceport, Glade, Shangri La. Unfairground.

I'd love a reunion of LTJ Bukem with MC Conrad. Never going to happen though.

I was expecting/hoping for Shy FX at Arcadia. Having not done the naughty corner before how easy do you guys think it'll be to get in to see him on the Sunday night? My mate is seeing Coldplay and I am watching BMTH but we will meet up after and head to SE corner. Just hoping I manage to get in as don't wanna miss Shy FX

I think there's more chance of Prince & Bowie appearing as special guests with Radiohead for a secret headliner spot after Adele on the Saturday night :P

So after tirelessly inputting data from various sources but mostly of course the Glasto Thingy into our supercomputer I can now give a definitive date for the full announcement.

It will take place at 11.17am on Thursday 26th May.

It will not include Radiohead but there will be a sneaky "Special Guests" slot on West Holts on Friday evening at 6.10pm

@Junglist1981 fair play mate, same here, pretty well that same stuff, was hoping for something similar to the calibre dbridge and klute line up in the London Underground in 14... Reckon Seba lenzman calibre or spectrasoul in the sunshine on the glad would be too much to ask though

I hope there's a techno night at Arcadia too. There's so much DnB at Glastonbury and it's not really my thing. Friday night last year was one of the best dance nights of my life. True story.
