Biffy Clyro

Playing Belfast on the Saturday of the festival.

Basic math tells you they'll be at the festival I would say

Id find it very odd if FR have allowed two (possibly three with Disclosure) of their five headliners to also play Glastonbury, especially as their only headliner exclusive has just proven to be playing TITP. Not impossible, and that date does put them in the frame, but unlikely I'd have thought

Surely the only place they can feasibly play (aside from Friday Other opener*) is Pyramid sub or Other headliner.  Given that there are already a lot of acts in the frame for those slots already, it seems rather unlikely.

*Another case of hoping for something decent prior to ending up with something horribly underwhelming.

I'm with you, nailed on to show up.

Biffy Clyro aren't a band who'll just show up, they've all but headlined R/L, T, IOW, Soni, DL in previous years, they aren't going to just rock up and play an average slot

Did Radiohead not just rock up a lay an average slot one year? I'm almost sure they'll be doing something there Friday or Sunday....wait for the NME report about it.

It was hardly a full Radiohead show, and Biffy Clyro have done the park thing. Unless they are playing a headline slot or sub to someone very prolific they won't be playing

I think Biffy could sub Muse if they weren't desperate for a headline slot, which if they coheadline Reading and Leeds it would seem they aren't. Wasn't there something the other day about foals on before Coldplay? That would keep the Friday free for Biffy to do it.

Foals could easily be subbing Coldplay, Ellie on under Adele.

IF they've managed to get both Foals and Biffy as subs then that would be huge (especially Biffy who headlined all the major festivals just a couple of years ago) but I just don't see it happening. Foals is huge enough - Biffy would make the top of the lineup look insanely strong (size-wise - I know the acts themselves aren't the greatest)

But it isn't unusual to see bands of similar status subbing on the pyramid. It could happen ok

Name me the last Glastonbury sub who was headlining the likes of Reading/Leeds, TITP, IOW just a couple of years prior. Biffy's stock may have dropped a little in those couple of years, but they'd still arguably be the biggest sub the festival has had

I predicted Biffy to headline this year. Fortunately for everyone my predictions are always shite.

Biffy

Fleetwood Mac

Coldplay

Back in May my prediction was

Biffy

Coldplay

Adele

Not too bad

I'll go further,  biffy,  as much as I like them,  are not the same status as metallica,  the who,  k. west, coldplay  etc
