I'm sure I'll regret it, but I decided the travel + hotel + ticket costs for EiF weren't feasible. Das Rheingold one day followed by Sigur Ros the next was an amazing prospect, but alas...

Thanks - I was, like, there and everything!

In fairness, a sub slot would stick them against Foals anyway so I give up!

And your barely conceivable problem with that would be...?!

Despite having been a bit of a fanboy for a long time, and despite liking some of the songs a lot and trying really hard, I still fail to love Kveikur very much. It just sounds a bit one-dimensional and formulaic to me. I probably attribute too much importance to Kjarri's absence, but that's where I place the 'blame'...

However, if they do play Untitled 7 then I will be a very happy boy. (If they play Untitled 5 I might have a bit of a 'moment'...!).

Ffs guys, Valtari is stunning.

When someone says this you gotta give it a listen.

First listen last night - how have I missed sigur ros for so long.

Always dismissed it as Icelandic folk music.

Clashes permitting now a must see

Same here, finally got round to buying a few of their album's and watched their Southside 2013 set last night - it was beautiful :)

However it really depends who they are up against as i will always go for jumping along, singing my heart out bands over atmospheric ....we shall see

Why would the cause you to dismiss it?

If I said my other headliners are Adele and coldplay this would probably sum up my musical tastes :-)

Plus I don't understand a word of Icelandic!

Where dyou think these guys will play? There doesn't seem to be much space for them, I can't see them headlining the Park stage because 1) they're too big for it and 2) if Explosions in the Sky headline one night which is a lot more likely, the park stage headliners across the weekend will all be way too similar. Also it looks like there are a lot of West Holts and JP headliners too, Underworld, James Blake, Earth Wind & Fire, Fatboy Slim, Jake Bugg, Grimes etc. Then all the Other subs look like they're taken up too, with Bastille, Chvrches, Bring me the Horizon, LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey and then possibly Tame Impala if they are announced all rumoured. Like where is the space for Sigur Rós?

It's boggling my mind more than any other act position I can remember. Park headliner seems like the obvious go-to at the moment but to me they seem much bigger than any act that's headlined there before, unless they're planning on bringing their stripped down show here as they've advertised with their American tour, which would be a tad disappointing but explain why they're billed much lower than any of us expected

However if it's up against LCD I'll welcome a set which I'm not as desperate to see.

They're just looking out for us.

I think Park headliner. Given the correct acts opposite I don't think there will be any issue of overcrowding. I don't think the presence of EitS on Park would change whether or not Sigur Ros are there. It's quite common for stages to have similar headliners. That's even assuming EitS would headline.

The only other obvious spot is Other headliner - which for everyones sake - I hope they're not.

I reckon they're JPT. Either that, or they're not so bothered about this particular set being in the dark and have taken Other sub. It's anybody's guess at this point.

I reckon Kveikur is better than () and Takk and the other albums that aren't Von and Aghoijhbkfjs Brshdfhgih

I guess Bat for Lashes who is headlining EOTR this year is looking incredibly likely for the Sunday headliner so Sigur Ros who headlined EOTR a few years ago shouldn't seem too out there, even though they certainty seem like the much bigger act. Just gotta hope they're doing the Saturday, although my faith in that happening is dwindling by the day

AB = ( ) > Takk... > Valtari > Von > Kveikur > Spilum Endalaust
