Has a Park headliner ever not appeared on the first poster in recent years? We need @Gnomicide I think

I don't think they'll still EITS are Sigur Ros on at the same time either, that's absurd.

Surely EITS could easily play before Ros in the JPT?

Edit: Or maybe 3rd from the top.

guess we could've got it wrong about Bat for Lashes headlining the Park on the Sunday (maybe she's also JP?) and it could well be EISK. or they're also in the JP at some point. or they're subbing somebody else on the Park. guess there's a bunch of stuff that could happen - i'd just assumed we had our three Park headliners on the poster, and i'm struggling to think who they could be

I think Bat For Lashes are more likely than not to be one of the park headliners, given there's not many other viable options

The two I had looked at as maybes were St Etienne and Mercury Rev

St Etienne have confirmed themselves for starting just as ELO finish on the Sunday, so not them. reckon Mercury Rev could well be in with a shout though - thought they were an obvious one before the likes of Sigur Ros and M83 popped up (although they're booked up on the Friday)

To - maybe - make some people happy.....

John Peel, Friday headliner.

Nice one Neil; cheers!

Did you just read that off a cheeky pre-release full line up?!

;-) ;-)

Ah didn't notice they had confirmed to be playing at a certain time, fair enough. I had thought about John Grant, but couldn't really judge if he were big enough or not

Im really interested to see @eFestivals opinion on this

Happy with this. I have had much better experiences at JP headliners than at the Park.

I wonder what size crowd they'll get?

Up against Muse/Underworld/LCD or Disclosure, I'd imagine there's a good market there for them to pull a pretty sizeable crowd

Just remembered Two Door Cinema Club are playing Friday somewhere, maybe them?

Would be pretty silly to have them on Park and Sigur Ros on JP though, should be the other way around. Nah, I'll stick with Hawley for my guess.

definitely not the right type of music for the Park

Not particularly pleased with that. Not sure what I'll do if LCD play that night.

What have their set lists been like? Are they doing these experimental sets they talked about on the email?

haven't started their tour yet - Primavera on June 4th is their first date so i guess that'll be a good indicator for us, although if they're doing major festival sets you'd imagine they can't go too experimental

Mercury Rev won't  be headlining anything, I don't think.

I suspect that John Grant will be elsewhere other than The Park.

That would leave me absolutely out of ideas except Bat For Lashes Sunday

Im forgetting that Bowie/Orchestra thing that's going on on Saturday, that's probably going to headline isn't it?

Richard Hawley Friday - Bowie thing Saturday - Bat for Lashes Sunday

where that leaves EITS i have no idea, as they seem like an obvious Park headliner candidate also. guess they could sub any of the above acts

Two of them got 1hr 10 last year, so I think they'll get at least that long.

Ah ok, thanks. Still a bit disappointing though. Means I might catch a bit of Muse before wandering over to JP for SR. My campsite is right next to JPT so I am happy enough about that, good opp to reload on ciders before watching SR.

I always imagined TDCC on the Pyramid for some reason. I was thinking an order of Wolf Alice/TDCC or vice versa - ZZ Top - Foals - Muse swear I remember Neil saying something about them being on Pyramid but I am probably wrong.

    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
