Thought they were a bit shite before if I'm honest. That set in the John Peel was brilliant though, won me over.

Set was a big surprise, they got a great reception. It was really touching at the end, the guy had obviously been doing his best to stay in character and be a sarcastic misanthropic prick for the whole set, but looked very humbled by the love they were getting. A highlight for me, which is saying something, seeing as I hadn't looked after myself at all and was a total wreck on Saturday.

Agreed they were brilliant and smashed their set! They have gotten even better live since i saw them at beacons festival last august. Nice to hear a band with something to say given a platform on a main stage at the festival rather than a lot of MOR stuff you tend to get on those stages

Yep, they were really good. I went not expecting much but was really impressed. He puts a lot into it and it was good they were given that platform.

They were great, people of all ages were there and into what they were doing. The jokes about Slaves being the support act and the fact that they were a well polished live act were funny as well,

Yeah they were excellent and went down a storm. I'm a fan and I wasn't expecting the crowd to be belting out a song the way they did to Jobseeker. Excellent stuff.

I missed them unfortunately but just watched them on iPlayer - intense! Quality.

Saw them in Leeds a few months back and got tickets for their tour too.

Saw them out of curiosity and bemusement and left legitimately really surprised by what a great live act they are. The guy has a killer voice and performs flawlessly, bet he's secretly an amazing singer. Jobseeker is an absolute banger.

Then he got out there and had a packed out tent cheering at him and thought "fuck it, I'm doing it anyway".

"Me and Andrew are a professional band. We've been doing live music for a long time, we expect some more fookin heads".

Enjoyed them, only went to see them as a tribute to a mate who didn't get a ticket and is a big fan. Some of their lyrics are insane.

haha, a very.....very sceptical mate off mine said he was coming with me to see why i kept going on about them! he loved it, and the little bits off banter inbetween were quality ! ...."are there any locals here.. whats it like for work.. shit work" hahaha its all shit!

I had heard 3/4 tunes beforehand and thought they would be a fun novelty act, I was wrong.

They are far more than that. Funny, but intense.

This thread confuses me; all I heard from people after was how bad it was.  When he came out with Leftfield it kind of killed their set for a bit as well.  I think they'll always be one of those acts that I don't get.
