No Fallow Year in 2017

Can someone explain the Sheeran equation? Quite intrigued. :sarcastic:

There were just under 3 years between his first two albums so we're just presuming it would be similar for his next album. That would mean it would be released in early-mid 2017 so if there was a fallow year in 2017 Glastonbury wouldn't book him until his fourth album as they don't book headliners in their second summer of touring an album.

Haha, we know a 2017 headliner before we know a 2015 sub lol.

Also there are a lot of fields around there, i doubt those land owners would say no to a nice bit of extra cash for the rental of their land.

It's a question of the logistics of the matter. A lot of those fields will be impractical for car parking, and there's the matter of access to and from them. I've no idea of the boundaries of the surrounding farms but it's quite likely a few of the land owners could make life very difficult for the festival without access to their land. That gives them a lot of leverage when it comes to bargaining for a fee. So it ends up being a matter of brinksmanship on the part of both parties as to how far they'll push their luck holding out for a price.

As Michael pointed out, it can get very, very complicated.

Won't your exams have finished in April/May or early June at the very latest?!

Mine certainly did, and I'm sure the majority tend to!

Fist two years I finish late May, 3rd-5th year I finish late July/early August. Absolutely revolting.

My brother's in his third year of the same course (different uni tho) and finishes at the end of July, which stops him from going to Glastonbury currently.

I remember that Neil theorised this would happen back when 2012 was changed to a fallow year, basically saying that ME was intentionally moving them further apart.

Absolutely fine with me.

Noooo the 'No Sheeran headlining' equation is broken! We're all doomed

You just know that is going to happen lol.

it won't happen. If necessary, I will kill Ed Sheeran on June 20th 2017 at 9:02pm with a lego house to prevent it happening.
