Surely Elbow are in with a shout. Festival favourites, free on Friday, live show ready to go.

It all fits and they would be cheap? Similar status to Gorillaz....

Although Gorillaz had just returned/were now a live 'human' band, had a lot of buzz around them as a result, and had just headlined Coachella (which I believe went down very well).

Yeh, but they have never headlined. Last time they played was as a sub wasn't it?

People expecting something big will likely be disappointed. It will be hard to get anyone so late and Elbow might fit the bill. Although, I would imagine FATM would not be pleased about subbing them....

Yeah, i know what you're saying, but no way can it be them, surely?! However, you do raise an interesting point, would they possibly accept subbing Florence?

Still think it's Blur or Florence personally.

Yea but elbow have consistent for the past fifteen years, and their history is littered with key Glasto moments, I'd say flo'd be fine with subbing such a great act

I was going to say KISS, as they had a few dates in Europe up to the 22nd followed by a gap, seeing as Paul Stanley has guested with foo's a few times in the past dave might have persuaded them to fill in, but just seen that they've added a US show on June 23rd.

    • yes, but it will be called a care tax...much nicer name...and they will bin inheritance tax which no one likes even though most people don't pay it....and it will be used to pay for your granny. Burnham is obviously the saviour and will win labour another landslide because he's nice northern lad and not some sir c**t from surrey.
    • Hey, I correctly predicted the entire Bizkit Main Stage day months in advance 😝
    • Its just going to be another dementia tax isn't it? The issue is this is going to be seen as a continuation of the labour government that have already raised taxes 1000% above manifesto promises.
    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
