He's a bigger talent for sure, but his current show is too low key and smooth to encapsulate the current party vibe of the Sunday Legends Slot.

So - too low key and smooth for mass enjoyment, or the perfect sunny Saturday afternoon singalong.

For me, the latter - as expected the vocalists are a bit anonymous and I can take or leave the medley aspect, but:

This Guy's In Love With You = first joyful weeping of the weekend.

Very happy to see it wasn't just me then; was a beautiful sunny afternoon with great tunes,my first Glastonbury "moment" too i think .

A bottle of gin, surrounded by friends and family and 'what the world needs now..' coming off that stage, you'd need a heart of stone not to have descended into a sentimental weeping fool.

It must have been, I don't remember it too well, but apparently my Mum had to tell my girlfriend to take me back to my tent because I was in such a state.

whilst it was more 'cruise ship' than I expected, it was still a wonderful experience. Had to put my sunglasses on during Raindrops as I got all emotional.... Thought I was over the worst, then he played it again!!!

ha cruise ship is exactly right. Those vocalists were the cheesiest thing ever to hit the pyramid.

That being said, I loved it.

One of the moments of the weekend for me was two 6'4" musclebound bloke with tatts covering both arms, belting out "What the world needs now" with his arms above his head and gently swaying without a hint of irony. It was happiness personified.

It was awful. Like being stuck for an hour in a shitty cruise ship lift.

There's not a cruise ship on the planet that would want Burt's fragile, plaintive renderings of his own songs. There was as much emotion in that - and asking the audience to back up his own frail efforts on Raindrops - as anything else I saw all weekend.

I'm sure from your vantage point on the rail/in the mix it was superb. From further back in the field it was dire.

Arthurs Theme was mint. Was with a few who didn't really know him. It was great to see them go "this is his???...... And this one???" as the songs came coming. Not just songs, classic songs. Some of the best ever.

It was worth the cheese to experience that.

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
