I can't wait to see these, they passed me by for a while, because I assumed they were some piddly indie band because they won the Mercury Prize. But just as a broken clock is right twice a day, the Mercury Prize occasionally goes to somebody good. I began listening when White Men Are Black Men Too was released, it's my favourite album of the year so far, this is what I've been looking for, I can't remember being this excited about a new band since Los Campesinos! first appeared. Not seen them live yet (probably going to go see them in Manchester next week if I can make it) so I'm really looking forward to seeing them at Glastonbury. Hoping they play Park or West Holts rather than being plonked on JPT or way down Other. If YouTube is anything to go by, they look like they really bring the goods to live shows:

I've somehow managed to miss three opportunities to see them then live, including at Norwich Arts Centre, one of my favourite venues

I hope they're on Park or WH too, if they're stuck low down on JP I'll almost certainly end up missing them like I did last year with all the people I wanted to see on that stage.

Just occurred to me, imagine them playing the Hell stage. Ooh boi.

Caught these on the park last year - great set really intense live band. Think it was only about half 1 in the afternoon and the crowd was pretty small.

Should imagine they will pull a much bigger crowd this year post Mercury prize etc.

I had to give up on them last year - was too hungover, and it was just a bit too relentless for me at that point. Would be tempted to give them another go....

For them. They have an energy about them on stage but it's more captivating than anything not really crowd pleasers as such. I found myself just staring at them.

I been thinking about this group a lot this week.

The album is clearly good, and they've got something but it's fucking hard work as a listen, and I'm not sure I'd like to go and see them live. Don't know what the atmosphere would be like. I'm sort of intrigued by the noise they make, but I can only take it in small doses. Not sure I could hack a whole set of it.

Saw them at Pukkelpop last year. They were hard work. Didn't last the full set, just wasn't engaged by them at all. Which is a shame I suppose, because they're clearly trying to do something interesting and different. I think my opinion has mellowed since I saw them though, pretty sure the words nonsense and twaddle were used at the time.

That pretty much sums up my experience last year - at a different time/place it might be much better

Going to see them on Friday in Leeds. Not really bothered but we are there for the weekend and they happen to be playing, and Mrs Homer (Marge?) is a big fan. Will report back!

1st saw them at Latitude in 2013 on The Alcove stage, less than 20 people there but they put on a really intense set, loved them. Had the first album on preorder, think the new album is even better. Thought they were really good on the Park last year. Seeing them in a couple of weeks in Brighton. Will catch them again at Glastonbury or Latitude this year.

I'm sure we all feel like that looking back at old line-ups and thinking 'how did I miss them/that'!

We just read the programme and they sounded interesting having never heard them before, all part of a festival finding something new.

I seen them in Newcastle last thursday and can only echo the same sentiment.

My thinking was that seeing them would alleviate any potential clashes they had so I could give them a miss, but now they're in the top 3 acts I must see .

They've an intensity that makes Portishead live sound like Belle & Sebastian!!

I've been trying to find the words to try to convey to people today how good they were, I think you've got closer than I did, but still not quite there. I've been preaching to people about how they're most exciting new band to rise up in recent years, and never have I seen a more visceral and immediate show, they sort of nod and go "sounds cool". No! You don't understand! It is so so so so much more! Just fucking love this band.

I fear that seeing Nils Frahm and Young Fathers on consecutive nights has ruined me forever, I have achieved peak gig and it can only be downhill from here.

Didn't even attempt to explain to anybody how fantastic Nils was, where would I even begin?
