Thing is, do we think they would upgrade the other stage to the extent that it's a better setup than pyramid? I can't see it to be honest and think the screens will just be the same as they have been recently.

I don't see it as better... more that they offer different things. The pyramid is iconic, legendary and great for certain acts. But some acts will thrive on a more visual stage... such as acts like Charli.

Yeah I know what you mean and that's true to an extent but having much larger wraparound screens improves the experience for everyone, especially those further back. The pyramid would benefit more from larger screens due to the size of the arena then the other stage would.

I stand corrected, they have 4 extra repeaters, making 8 total. This is great news given the extension of the other field

In some ways the other stage is more advanced than pyramid. The pyramid is an awkward shape to work around, especially with screens.

I have long said that wraparound screens on the pyramid and the other on the glade side would make massive sense as so many people are standing or walking round that way. It would be great.

The Other needs something a little different as it's just such a dull set up. Great opportunity to justify wrap arounds now they've extended the field and added more repeaters. I camped at where the back edge of the new arena has been taken back to now, in 2022 and watching/listening from that far back wasn't really a viable option with the old set up.

bit grey over the farm at the moment ..... at least people dont seem to be getting wet over the bank holiday , ramping up another stage from tomorrow

That's impressive, where is that? The stage they used in 2015 and 2016 seemed to have more potential for that type of setup, not sure why they stopped using it.

Speaker stacks in pyramid been  lifted , Lonely hearts appeared in Silver Hayes ? , Roof added to Levels . There was me thinking nothings happened today 🙂

Coachella. Thats the current version with the main PA raised above the screens so it obscures nothing. First version of their all screen stage  debuted in 2016 and has just evolved with the times since then. Reading and Leeds have a variant of it and put theirs to use in 2017. If you wanna see the evolution of it check this video. If you wanna see what Other could be like then check the other video below. Thats Outdoor theater which is Coachellas 2nd stage and equivelant to Other. But yeah, big screens and lots of room for production. at the 9 min mark of the above and beyond vid youll see drone footage of both stages going with their respective large crowds
