Somewhere on site they'll also be packing away Billy Bragg for his winter hibernation...they prob put him in a box with some straw in Michael's garage....

Right along side Mik Artistik, Hobo Jones and Chris Martin :) (although the pesky Martin has a tendency to escape every now and then)

So now it’s the long months of watching the seasons change, the autumn leaves falling,  the winter frosts and the first signs of spring, the summer finally arriving and the pyramid being dressed again!

Unless we fail to get tickets. In which case it changes to ignoring this thread like the plague (as well as the others discussing lineups, arrival plans, "where do you camp?" and the like)

We have already booked Glastonbury town for the three days to the run up to the festival. If we can’t get tickets we will still be close by just to feel part of it. Mad I know but can’t imagine just sitting at home.

The pier people are doing their final sweep for cigarette ends, looks like they'll be gone by the end of the day, tomorrow maximum. The bonfire pile will not be a bonfire, it is now huge, so I guess will get relocated. All quiet.....

quite a lot of vans up there yesterday so we stayed clear would have liked a nose but thought better of it :)

Are the cows back in the field yet? A great moment.

I keep checking for them on the webcam but no sign yet. Quite surprising given the good weather over the festival and how quickly they were out in 2017.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
