I'm intrigued by the hovering magnifying glass they've got this year!

Shangra-la would call it "An obtuse examination of the scrutiny placed on the site construction as each temporal and ephemeral stage of the construction is examined by the masses by using iconography to demonstrate the all seeing gaze of the mass-media fed Glastonbury obsessives".

Makes me want to drive down right now! Excited to see what Arcadia have to offer this year.

Seeing the spider again makes me slightly disappointed. I was hoping that they would bring a totally new installation this year. But, it is still impressive, and the visual things they do around it are awesome.

The mini spiders were a welcome addition last time, it will get harder for them to be inventive and fresh with the basic construction presumably being the same.

looks like the Fluffy Rock Cafe :) love that place, not sure why, cheap egg baps, nice place to chill out listening to acoustic stuff... had a great skank to some ska in there one year, not sure how often they get dancey bands in tho...

loads of bins have appeared! I'm excited about bins! :)

Was the first day of paining designs on bins today for the 'main crew' who went up at the weekend.

Some have been up there a while colour washing the bins.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
