Also I think that traditionally The Other Stage has a decent dance act on on a Sunday night which would help pull the crowd away from her.

Who are we guessing is playing The Other Stage on the Sunday this year?

Bring Me The Horizon. Although some think they may be subbing it instead. If they sub it I'd guess they'd sub to LCD Soundsystem.

Are people still thinking Adele is Saturday night?

Personally I think she'll be Sunday night instead.

Muse

Coldplay

Adele

I'm pretty sure Coldplay are already playing Thursday and Friday in Denmark (or somewhere similar) so if they play it will almost certainly be Sunday

How big was Beyonce's crowd, stu? :P

That aside, I happen to know that bands who have been told they'll be playing at around the same time as Adele aren't very keen to have that slot as they're worried they'll be playing to an empty field.

Well I will be there for NO so they will not be on their own. They will get to see my Hooky is a cvnt t shirt :-)

Which one is Sonic? Is that where Freestylers were last year? I quite liked it there.

They'd suit sunday better than friday or saturday in my opinion anyway

it's the one in the dance village, the one where you cant get any sort of a view if it's a tiny bit busy!

Nah the one I am thinking of was proper smart. It was under some trees and on its own. Proper nice chilled out stage..

Sounds like The Glade.

that sounds like the glade, which is as you say absolutely brill.

That rings a bell. The only thing that ruined it was my mate who kept moaning the Freestylers were shit and wanted to go to the bar a bit further up the path and listen to a dj play Bob Marley tunes.

Muse just got announced for Sziget Festival 10-17 August....That means they are touring Europe again at the time of RandL....

I would be more inclined to think Muse are going to go back for Bestival after last year rather than R/L

No way it could contain the crowd that Underworld could draw though, I love the Glade and spend a fair proportion of my festival there, but I can't imagine how chaotic it would be if they played there, WH would be ok, Other ideal (in my opinion, at least).

I agree, no chance of the glade at all. Other would be best, WH seems unlikely, but I have a bad feeling after leftfield last year they would end up in the same place.

Bet they dont play at all now!

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
