Here's a little picture of how the lineup is looking at the moment from the original poster, on the four main stages. I think we'll be waiting a good few weeks now for the proper lineup announcement so I've highlighted the general approximate of the gaps that'll be filled in this coming lineup so people have an idea of how big the bands will be that are coming. This is the most meticulous of speculations I know

Roughly about 50 more acts coming on the main stages, though most are quite low-level and in the West Holts/Park stage.

I wouldn't get too caught up with the fact that I've put certain bands in certain places because I have no idea for sure yet! This is a pretty rough idea

Ok yes I have a lot of work that I'm putting off doing tonight.

There are two big Other stage slots up for grabs on the saturday and sunday by the looks of this

Could be filled by the likes of:
Frank Turner, Seasick Steve, Beck, The Charlatans, Tame Impala and Placebo

Could be two of these

Rightyho fella mi lad. Heres the deal. Theres been about 70 acts announced, thats enough to fill 3 main stages for 3 days. Theres masses and masses more to come, thousands in fact. You're missing most of the dance village (4 main venues, or so!), most of the se corner, a lot of west holts, most acoustic, most avalon, let alone the countless other music and non music acts. Don't you even think about cancelling your ticket. Its like walking into tescos, getting to the veg aisle and walking out again because you think theres no meat, fish, tins, booze or cat food. If you come back in July and honestly say that you regretted going, that there was nothing you liked, then i'll give you a million pounds. (Of course, i wont...but pretend hey)

Go, my friend, participate, enjoy, share.

Decent attempted but I reckon you'll be wrong about James Bay, almost certain to have a lower Pyramid slot. There was info a while ago that put him on the Friday.

Changed it :) who dyou reckon might be missing?

I've no idea myself mate, Glasto is too hard to predict. Don't go clashing Hozier and Death Cab though, that'd just not be nice. How you've place them means that based on last years times I can see Hozier, Death Cab and then Years and Years although I gotta catch some of Lionel.

If Rudimental are actually headlining the Other Stage then that's shit, they aren't that size yet. Deadmau5 is headlining NME at Reading but it's a 20K area, Sonic isn't and it's a completely different act to Disclosure and a bigger act. Reading can probably get away with it being that he's not the primary interest at that fest beings that being who want the likes of Deadmau5 as the majority will go to Creamfields.

I'm having a very similar debate with one of my party at the moment who isn't impressed with the line up. To people who haven't been, I completed understand why it's all about the music (I was the same the first time I went and refused to believe otherwise). I had planned to see around 15 bands/artists the first time I went and I kid you not- I made it to three. The place is spectacular and the music is second to most things when you're there.

These two lines are far and away the best thing Ive read on the internet in bloody ages.

All I can do is echo the "it's way more than the line up that makes the festival awesome"

I've been to many years when I've hardly looked at the line up let alone scrutinised it and planned my weekend. But I only live 20mins away not on the other side of the contry.

I have discovered a lot of bands that I've "researched" from the line ups pre-fest and they've been some of my most anticipated & consequently enjoyed gigs of the weekend.

As an example (and not you cup of tea) I've been listening to run the jewels flat out the last month or so and they are brilliant and honestly I'm looking forward to them more than anything else.

Hi! Is the Maccabees being on JP just speculation or is there any truth/logic to this? Would be absolutely ecstatic if they're headlining that whilst Kanyes on.

I'm the opposite, really hope they don't clash! Hoping they're on the Other stage or if they're headlining JP it's Sunday although FFS seem pretty set to headline JP that night.

Leave that line-up alone I'll take it!!

As others have said and you'll hear all the time, there is so much more there. I fill in a clashfinder every year and only see about half of bands planned! Lots of places to wander past and catch people, small places like the introducing tent up in park, seen some real gems there.

Yeh I'd be happy with them on Other Stage, as long as they don't clash with the likes of Alt J, Chems, Lionel, Wolf Alice and a few others I wanna see. Would be class seeing them in JP, would make my festival.

If Spiritualized are going to headline please please please make it the Sunday. Not missing Kanye.

And whilst I have no desire to make things difficult for Mash011, please please please let Spiritualized headline The Park on the Saturday, as they need to be late late late in the dark, and would be the perfect cosmic 'middle' of my festival, leading me into Saturday night with the whole of Sunday ahead of me, rather than a slight feeling that the festival is not far from the end...

Horses for courses, eh?!

I wouldn't take much of that lineup as truth at all! I just fitted in the bands where I think they'd fit nicely, I'd like to think it comes close, but we have no way of knowing for a couple of weeks now so it's just to keep the fun & speculation going!

My guess for the Maccabees was just on the basis that they're a newer indie rock band, from around the time of the Kaiser Chiefs who headlined last year. It was between them and Suede, and I thought Suede are a too old a band to be a John peel headliner. I could have put a load of electronic bands there though, but I thought it'd be more likely to be a rock band given that Kanye West is headlining that night.

I hope you're wrong about future islands in the JP

I've realised I might be, apparently it's most likely to be FFS.

I'd prefer Future Islands, and my hunch thinks they'd suit a JP headline more

I think they would slip nicely into your current Friday night on west holts.

As for FFS that would still leave me with a clash dilemma

I reckon Future Islands will sub FFS that night.

Jim Fox, who's involved with the running of the JP tent (not sure exactly what), posted on facebook saying their Sunday headliner was a special way to end the festival and later on that FFS was the act he was looking forward to most, so given FFS are playing Sunday it's fairly safe to say they're headlining JP that night.
