the more i listen to Sometimes I Feel So Deserted the more i love it. Go's growing on me as well without being spectacular

also really hope Don't Think makes it on to their current sets. only discovered it recently but it's fast become one of my favourites by them

First time i heard it was at Glasto 2011 and i fell in love with it.

That was good. Having read the SOS article makes it all the more enjoyable to listen to them live.

That's what they like to do sometimes: find a control that pitches something five octaves out the ceiling and make it sound like it's changed sex.

my kind of musicians!

Would have been happy to have these as the end of my festival. I will be going to see The Who but The Chems will be a great gig.

Saw them in 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed them. Saw them do a dj set in 04 at The Glade (under the name London Dust Explosion) after seeing them live on Other earlier in the night, again both really enjoyable. Skipped them doing a dj set in 2005 and missed them for The Who in 2007. Have seen them a couple of other times outside of Glastonbury and never been disappointed.

I'm also pretty sure I have seen them within the last 18months but can't for the life of me remember where. Mmm, will ask to ask the wife :)

are their dj sets any good? i've heard mixed reports.

I've been to their last three Warehouse Projects, first two excellent, last years not quite as good. Just lacked a few of their big hits

i would go to a dj set expecting only a handful of their own songs though. I would hope to hear their remixes thrown in. They don't do many though and i've never had a chance to see them dj.

they released two dj albums in the 90s, as i'm sure you know. they are of their time but still bloody good fun.

these days they play totally different stuff, and you do get remixes of familiar stuff or roadtests of new stuff. there's some stuff on youtube, but i don't think anything official has ever come out.

and, as you say, they only do a handful of dj shows a year.

Yeah it is usually a good mix, definitely worth going to.

I've been checking these forums praying that the Sunday info turns out to be wrong but it's just false hope I think. Horrible clash for me thay Sunday

Sunday's an issue for me too, not for clashes, but more cos my feet, and often the rest of me, are fucked by sunday night!

didn't know about the dj albums. I listen to plenty of their remixes on youtube though. Love the Voodoo people remix.

Yeah same. I'm a big fan of The Who and I've never seen them, mainly to do with the price of their gigs, so I'm gonna have to be at the Pyramid. Absolutely gutting to be missing Chemical Brothers though, blew my mind in 2011

They managed to project some solid looking blue and white lasers across the room. I remember that much.

Shame the new album is out in July. Would have liked to get my teeth into it before the Glasto show.

radio 1 has already played 2 of the tracks off it. i wouldnt be surprised if we get 2-3 more of them before glasto time.

Yeah I'm confident that we'll know at least almost all of the new tracks they play

No contest, Chemicals all the way.

I had to watch Glasto 2007 on the TV, via the red button. The Who and Chem Bros were head to head then as well. I was switching between the two stages and the difference was like day and night. The Who were dull and lifeless and Chemicals were completely the opposite. I wasn't much of a chemical brothers fan, until that night but it completely changed my view of them.

I saw them in 2011 on the Other Stage and they were even better.

I understand your reasoning for wanting to see The Who but I know you I'll be watching, with no regrets at all.

They've changed their event on Facebook from 24-28th to Sunday 28th.

So that's that, then.

Edit: fully aware we knew they were gonna do Sunday, just posting as a sort of confirmation.
