Have you seen yourself on TV ?

May I ask how you managed to get on stage ? That must have been amazing !

I'm a member of their fan club and was lucky enough to win a meet and greet before the show and one of the extras they offered us was if we would like to join them on stage. It really was amazing! Really was breath taking walking out from backstage of the pyramid to then see everyone in the crowd in front of you.

This is a view I'll never forget!

We were in the crowd shot of Monsters and Men, only noticeable because we were wearing cardboard boxes

3 mins in

Wow - must have been stood quite close to you that day verrymerry. We were on that clip (very briefly a few times) due to been near the Asian girl on shoulders they kept featuring.

To be honest been on the TV a few times over the years - if you manage to get yourself fairly near the front of any of the main stages there's always a fair chance. Weirdly we were on quite a bit last year (Goldfrapp, Bryan Ferry, St Vincent, Kelis, Lana Del Ray to name a few)

i have only been the tv once, and that was back in 2009 i think when jarvis cocker, was headlining the john peel stage. My dad would not believe me, that i got right to the front. so i spent ages when i got home going through the footage

well last year BBC Bristol asked me for a live 1/2 hour interview as it was my 35th anniversary from the year I started going in 1979 { since that year I have not missed any } - this had all been arranged months before hand - it was slated for Friday 27/6 - have no clue why it had to be live - anyway I was getting a lift down in one of our motorised buggies when a BBC Producer called up saying that power was about to be cut from the pyramid stage area and the interview was off so it never took place and a few minuets later power in our crew area was cut as well.Well at least it solved one problem as I was worried I would swear in it - I did ask them to record it but they wanted to do it live.I had friends recording it so they were well baffled when it did not take place.

Many a time.

pulled a sickie to go to Isle of Wight in 2012, and Springsteen headlined, got dead close to the front for Tom Petty, but had to endure Elbow beforehand, anyone who knows me, knows i hate Elbow... so Anyway, zooms in on this mass crowd of people swaying their hands back and forth, and then this grumpy misery, arms folded, and scowling in the dead centre of it all.

Oh, and yes i got collared in work.

At Glastonbury, Black Keys (2014), White Lies (2014), BBC Interview (2011), Slash (2010)

Famous.

I saw myself moshing to Smashing Pumpkins a couple of years ago.

Ayy, me too, and Dinosaur Jr and Rodriguez in 2013, St Vincent last year. The massive boom in all those shows majorly did my head in, to the point I wanted to go all Joe Strummer on the cameras, but I did get all exciting seeing myself there after the festival. It was also quite entertaining to get a text from my dad saying that he'd seen me on telly watching "the Bashing Pumpkins".

Not so much me but there's some great footage of my son Joe up at the original underground piano bar sometime around 2000 maybe 02. He must be about 4 or 5 years of age and he's under the stage with his cousin Sam whilst above them Michael Eavis is singing a hymn accompanied on piano by Jools Holland. The BBC stitched up the people who were already in there and got us to leave by subtefuge then swiftly replaced us with their chosen audience, we were having a great time in there, cocktails being passed round and enjoying a communal singalong when it all came to a sudden halt. Consequently the only bit of footage of me is leaning on a door looking pissed off after having a row with a BBC producer whilst Billy Bragg says 'Come on let's take a look inside' or something to the camera. Anyhow, aside from my bitterness Joe is now 19 and has been to every festival since he could walk, he's seen James Brown, Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, The Stooges, CSN, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Dr. John, John Fogerty, Jimmy Cliff, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Solomon Burke, George Clinton, The Stones..................the list goes on and on. He's played some small tents with his bands, played live on Worthy FM and this year he's working for his ticket for the first time. He lives and breathes music, plays classical and electric guitar and bass guitar and is studying music at Uni. All of this is down to the fact that we happen to live not far away from the greatest, most awesome, most visionary and most life changing manifestation of the human spirit I could ever imagine, and it all starts with a small child caught on tv in an underground piano bar. Glastonbury Festival, what a place.

My friend texted me to say that she saw me during McCartneys set in 2004. I was at the front in shirt and tie. Would love to see that footage sometime. What a set that was!

In the same place, some random guy offered me something naughty (not sex related) while the camera was panned right on that section. Thankfully, it didn't go on air as it was just being shown as part of the highlights.

I said no btw, I had to get up at 5am the next morning to do my oxfam shift :D

Never in almost 50 various festivals have I been caught on camera! (to my knowledge)

One of my best mates was on that doc that came out in 2012, Glastonbury the after hours or whatever it was called, he was in Shangri-La munted on a rather high dose of MDMA on the Friday night of 2011, and he got zoomed into looking a right mess. :)

I got quite close to the front during stevie wonder in 2010 and saw myself a couple of times when watching it back. (I have a photo of one of the times on my phone but can't seem to copy/paste/upload from my phone onto here).
