They were great at APE last year

They were superb at Lollapalooza Paris 2018 as well. I'd say Glastonbury 2010 was what it was, but that in general, they now seem to have a reputation as a more consistent act. Can imagine that show at London O2 that reopened it after lockdown was pretty dope.

I greatly enjoyed the parade of guests in 2010, was genuinely amazed when Lou Reed showed, and I actually liked that album so never got the huge negativity.

Gorillaz were excellent the two times I saw them at Primavera last year. Going so new album heavy at Glastonbury bit them in the arse a bit (as well as it clearly being quite thrown together) but they’ve amassed quite the setlist of great songs since and really honed in their live performance. I wasn’t really bothered about seeing them at all at the time but was very keen to watch them a second time after seeing that first set at Prima.

Watching some of the Bad Bunny replay now and ehhh… seems very much style over substance, which I suppose is appropriate given Coachella’s current reputation. Also lots of crowd shots of people just on their phones not arsed at all.

A baffling booking which will go down in notoriety when he disappears as fast as he climbed the ladder. At least Mumfords had hits when they headlined the Pyramid.

I wouldn’t go that far - he’s insanely popular, for some reason, but the whole show was just all of the worst cliches of a rap show you hear about; guys just shouting over each other, more backing track than live, technical issues, and a ton of big production but no performance to justify it all, all tied together by the typical ‘phones out for the entire thing’ Coachella audience. Fair enough if that’s your thing and clearly it is for a lot of people, but each year Coachella looks less and less appealing to me and like everything a festival shouldn’t be.

Am I missing something? all I’m getting is replays from yesterday ‘live’ on their YouTube channel

Damn, think I'm the only one in here who enjoyed Bad Bunny's set (I am a fan of his however).

Watched a fair bit last night on the stream tbh, particularly enjoyed KAYTRANADA and SG Lewis, Overmono were decent, but feel having them in the tent that early didn't work so it felt a bit flat, especially with them not having an impressive light show either. Gorillaz were fun too, as was the small bit of Blink I watch - seemed they were having a blast and just happy to be there, which definitely made it more enjoyable to watch, especially as I've never really been into their music.

The parts of Vintage Culture, Burna Boy, Chemical Brothers, Jamie Jones and Metro Boomin I saw were all pretty decent too.

Looking forward to catching some of ROSALÍA later on, her recent festival sets have looked class.

New streams starts at 4pm PST. There might be new Saturday links that appear.

Its funny that Coachella booking the biggest act currently is not  smart? But Glasto having Ed Sheeran who was huge for 2017 creates zero questions in anyones minds? Yet Coachella  also gets somebody like Jai Paul to surface out of nowhere and perform for the first time but still seen as a no substance event.

i had fun watching current WWE star Bad Bunny do his thing. Everyone around me was screaming every word. Some hiccups and that is always a bummer when it comes to the headliner and trying to create a moment like with Post Malone. Headliners having a couple snags is not uncommon and we've all seen it happen. Im sure theyre going to tripl check things next week. And theres always the argument that weekend 1 crowds are dead and weekend 2 attendees make up for cause they get upset watching the stream and seeing people apparently bored

And i dont know why nobody is putting on the Metro Boomin replay which had The Weeknd perform 5 songs and 21 Savage and Diddy.

by the way, the biggest development right now is that it seems you can walk out of the beer gardens with your alcohol  and they wont stop you. We dont know if its a new permanent policy or if theyre just experimenting or anything of the sort. There were def more  beer cups on the fields when it came to litter though.

Anyway, back to it. CONEJO ( see vid below )
