Latest GFS for those interested / still reading (bearing in mind this is less accurate now):

Thursday as was

Friday rain starting about 1pm, clear by 7-8pm. Couple of mms at worst. 20 degrees.

Sat dry, 21/22.

Sun light rain, heavier rain skirting to North through Wales. Still minor amounts. 20/21/22 degrees.

BBC / Met Office still showing mix of light rain and heavy showers through Friday.

So basically disagreement as to how much the rain breaks up when the front sweeps across on Friday.

Cheers!

The 12z Run is definitely looking better than the previous run

Lets hope the Met Office forecast falls in line with it!

Anyone left here? The weather in Bath has taken a bit of a turn and looks like it could chuck it down any minute! Hope the situation is different at the festival.

The Accuweather Minutecast is showing no rain - but no idea how accurate it is!

MetOffice rainfall radar shows very isolated spots round Somerset at the moment, all clearing in next hour.

Hopefully all the rain just hones in on Bath and avoids the festival  :sarcastic: It can chuck it down here for all I care!

For anyone still reading or logging on from festival...

18z run excellent - very light rain Friday, almost nothing on Sunday.

Ditto the Norwegians.

Met office have improved Sunday but still show heavy showers Friday.

BBC have three hours of heavy rain (not showers).

So still disagreement on how much falls.

This looks like 2003 to me...

Quick morning update.

While most sites still reckon very little rain (Norwegians have improved even further), Met Office has got worse overnight - consistent heavy rain through Friday morning, rain pm, chance of showers Sat.

BBC, who take their data from Met Office, have similar for Friday but show full on Sun for Sat and a dry Sunday.

So if you haven't left yet, make sure you're prepared - it's the Met Office (who now seem convinced of lots of rain) v everyone else (not much rain), so still a chance things could get nasty if Met Office are right.

Just watched Carol K on Breakfast, (she'll be using Met Office data)

Tomorrow's rain now likely but looks like pushing through with the afternoon brightening up. Saturday set to be dry but Sunday seems to have taken a turn for the worse I'm afraid. It certainly didn't look like that earlier this morning

Whatever happens I hope you all have a cracking time, missing out this year due to new bambino!

EDIT: Carol may have gone rogue with extent of Sunday's rain, @BBCWeather have just tweeted

#Glasto2015 forecast
FRI: Rain AM. Brighter PM
SAT: Sunny intervals
SUN: Dry AM, light rain PM

Afternoon update, mainly for me, as it's only me left:

Most sites stil saying very little rain Friday.

Most agreed it will start first thing in the am, peak round lunch then die out early PM, with the evening being nice and sunny.

Met Office still predicting heavy rain, but change the location to Glastonbury (6 miles from site) and they say light rain.

There's now a BBC Glastonbury specific video forecast, and, although it warns of potentially heavy downpours, it also mentions that the rain will be quite light for the most part and will pass quickly.

(As an aside - someone on Netweather forums noted that some heavy downpours were skirting close to Somerset on their latest models, so not just Met Office warning of this).

So essentially - patchy, light rain tomorrow am and most of pm, with potential for heavy periods if we're unlucky.

Sunday looks like either patchy light rain or none at all, depending on how the front comes in. Disgareement at moment, but neither scenario that bad TBH.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
