Just watching the BBC Spotlight - that's the south west - weather.

Showing it good up to Friday, but on Friday a band of rain comes across the whole of the ST including Glastonbury.

Bugger, bugger, bugger, ....

But then clear but cool after that.

The exact same was apparent on the South weather report although they stressed that it was unclear exactly who was going to get the rain on Friday but there was lots of it. I've been to Glastonbury too many times to think there's a hope in hell's chance of it skipping Worthy Farm.

At least it should dry out Saturday and we'll get that lovely, bouncy mud to walk on Saturday evening.

On my local news, they were talking about the Friday rain and the presenter mentioned it upsetting those going to Glastonbury.

The weather guy said 'too much..' and was interrupted

'Too much rain?'

'No, too much talk of rain'

Take that you sensationalist bastards. finger.gif

Everything I see and hear is showing me that the rain on Friday could well be the 'rain that by the time you put your coast on it has stopped rain'........

Very very light and very patchy.

I think the forecasters will know a lot better tomorrow night after the first fronts from the Atlantic hit the high - so they see the effect.

Persoanally I think we will get some but nothing to worry about Friday.

Sunday is another matter though and is still way to early to know.

Exactly, as we know anything past a few days is a little bit uncertain. Its encouraging that Weds/Thurs have consistently looked good though.

The encouraging thing with the Friday rain is that it seems to be shifting north, meaning it may well avoid us. We'll see though.

Good news.

Huge improvement for Sunday from earlier, which basically has no rain now. Thursday also clear now. We still have the showers on Friday with the threat of something further north.

We've lost some of the heat on Saturday, but all is still good.

Weds: No rain, max temp same as before at 20, pressure stable.

Thurs: Now no rain forecast unlike earlier and no danger in view, max temp same as before at 22, pressure stable.

Fri: Light showers in the afternoon to early evening, with the threat of something a bit more (but really not much) early evening if the rain set to hit Wales comes further south, pressure maybe a little lower. Max temps of 20 so a degree lower than before.

Sat: No rain to speak of forecast, pressure maybe a little lower.  Cooling continues with max temp now of 19

Sun: Big improvement here with no rain now forecast to hit until 3pm (was around midnight before). And even then it is literally a drizzle. Max temp of 22, so up a whopping 5 degrees from earlier. Pressure much higher as it keeps the rain band from hitting the UK.

Jackone's newest forecast:
https://forum.netweather.tv/blog/189/entry-4898-glastonbury-festival-2015-24-to-28-june-forecast-no-12/

Dry and fine for Wednesday and Thursday, damp and Cloudy on Friday. Still uncertain for the weekend probably mostly dry on Saturday with some showers at worse. while showers are possible on Sunday.

This is shaping up rather nicely. Just need the high pressure to nudge out the low on Sunday and that could be perfection.

I've just started leg one of my journey to glasto, starting from Colchester then going to Liverpool to meet up with everyone and stock up with booze before making my pilgrimage to Pilton.

For some ungodly reason I thought it'd be a great idea to take my 6 man tent for me and my mates and a 2 man tent belonging to someone else and 2 rucksacks full of shite to Southport on the train. The walk from euston sq to euston station nearly killed me, god knows how I'm going to cope on Wednesday morning
