I can't even remember rain on the Saturday shit I must have been wasted

All I remember about the Saturday was that it was really sunny in the morning, then I had a few brothers ciders and the hevans opened but it didn't seem like that much rain fall. The cider must have gone to my head

Im sure there was only one downpour on Saturday afternoon which lasted about 20 - 30 minutes? I ran from the Blues into Sonic until it passed.

It was enough to add to the already muddy conditions...but 22mm seems a bit high?

It was absolutely chucking it down on the Saturday afternoon last year when we were watching paul heaton in the bbc introducing tent. Solid rain for about an hour.

I don't remember any of this.

Fuck I must be old.

Actually we spent Saturday wandering around various tents so it's maybe not so surprising

I remember waking up Saturday morning and it was raining and it rained most of the morning. There was then one heck of a downpour Robert Plant set time in the afternoon.

Yeah you are probably right about the saturday morning although i cant really remember!

It was lovely by the end of Robert Plants set though and full on sun during Jack White!

Strange weather last year!

I get pedmills graphs but this one goes straight over my head..

Could you give a brief explanation of what I'm looking at?

Its the rainfall prediction from multiple runs of the GFS model. Each line is a run, and each run will have slightly different parameters.

If the lines are all over the place, it means that small changes in the parameters causes a large change in the outcome (butterfly effect), and hence confidence is low.

If all the lines show the same thing, confidence is high.

Aye - it was properly skelping down on the Saturday morning before most of the festival had arisen.

We went out for breakfast and ended up just standing in one of the huts at the top of The Park as it was proper 'hurt your head' strength.

Right okay, so from this you can say that there is a confidence regarding rain on Tuesday (23rd) but the rest is up in the air? is that fairly accurate?

Wasn't there a power cut over most of the site due to the rain on the Saturday?  Or was that the year before?

Im sure it was saturday last year? Was watching Jimi Goodwin on the park and he had to go off early. Think Rudimental or disclosure were playing the same time and they got cut off. (Always get them 2 mixed up)

Definitely Friday, because as you said, Rudimental got cut off

Yes, my gf was watching Rudiclosure at the time and said they had to cut the act short because of the weather.

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
