What a cracking lineup that would be, I'm a huge Oliver Heldens fan but I think he's WAY off headlining NME, even next year, not only in terms of his music but also his stage presence - a million times less exciting than say Knife Party / Major Lazor

Would love him to play the Dance Tent this year, then headline in next year much like Wilkinson did in 14-15

Am I the only person who doesn't think Fuse ODG or Oliver Heldens won't headline the NME because I haven't heard of them :P

Aye I'd kill for a trio like 2012's. Choosing NME headliners was by far the hardest part of that. This years trio has completely changed my approach to guessing it. Heldens probably isn't ready for it but I couldn't think of another likely dance act that could do it.

I remember walking past the Other stage at Glasto five minutes before Shikari came on and there was barely anyone waiting for them

Then again I have no idea what their crowd was like once they started

Crowd at Glastonbury was tiny which was really nice as I went to the front & they put on a different set ending in Constellastions.

At R&L it would have been much, even much, bigger.

Count in all the other shit at G to do & that they aren't aimed at a teenage core audience, the crowd was sizeable for 15:30

Chase & Status uploaded an image to their Facebook page of them working on their 4th album, can see them headlining next year unless the album bombs.

Even though they seem ripe for it, the thought of them headlining R+L seems bizarre to me like they're still some way off. That's just me though.

I think the album's success is irrelevant as I guess they'd be in place before it's even done. I imagine headliners are being booked right now.

Just seen Years & Years have hit number one. I guess they'll be back in a big main stage slot next year unless V snap them up.

I can maybe C&S and Foals both topping one day. I'm not sure Imagine Dragons will quite get it, returning next year to sub may affect the bump to headline. I did think Muse & Foo's were dead set for next year but I've a small thinking for Muse doing a stadium tour. It'll be either or anyway.

They were practically giving Chase and Status tickets away for the Hydro. They didn't do well there at all. Dunno what it was like in the rest of the UK though.

To be fair, they did played T in high spots 3 years running I think.

Nah I don't really see the point in that. They're pretty much cleared to bump Foals up so I don't know why they'd then split it with the act that played after them in 2013. Don't see why they both couldn't headline individual days instead.

I do agree Muse will probably do stadiums instead.

    • Don Broco secret set.
    • Regarding PinkPantheress: I watched the ending of The Cure from the back and then bolted straight to Cupra to save spots on the steps for my entire festival crew. Thus, we all had a good experience there. Sucks that not everybody got to properly see it, but it felt like something out of Glastonbury where those who showed up long in advance got to see a big artist on a smaller stage in good conditions.
