Well, how was the Fish56 Trance set? I chose Caribou who were great but in hindsight I wish I had gone to Greenpeace. Tell me it was terrible and I missed nothing please.

It was great. Tunes and atmosphere.

however the sound was coming out the main stage PA system, not the speakers near and around the tree (where he was DJing. This gave an odd disconnection to the dj as to get a full sound you had to dance nearer the main stage and not near the tree.

im not sure if this was standard for the Greenpeace field tree djs? If so thats bonkers. Some of my group said it ruined it for them as they wanted to be nearer the dj to connect etc

Did anyone see Deep Dish? I thought they were f**king brilliant. Masterclass in Prog House.

Any other favourite set of the weekends?

I saw the first 15 minutes but wasn't feeling the vibes to dance, would have worked better in the dark.

I was there Thursday night and it was the same when Jodie Harsh was playing.

my highlights

ben sims - temple

floating points - woodsies

marie davidson - levels

adiel - levels

caribou - park

four tet - woodsies

amelie lens - glade

it was a vintage year, not least because i had ideal shifts that allowed me to see almost everything i wanted to!

apologies for not meeting anyone btw, we were kind of in our own world at the back of the temple on sunday (but having a fantastic time). will try harder in 2027.

I saw….

MJ Cole - Glade

Joy Orb - Glade

Floating Points - Woodsies

Four Tet - Woodsies

Romy - Arcadia

Palms Trax b2b Job Jobse - Arcadia

Caribou - Park

Amelie Lens - Glade

Ibiza Classics Rave - Blind Tiger

Didn’t see a single thing at Silver Hayes, Temple or Block 9 which is the first time that’s ever happened.

Had a walk through Shangri La a few times but never committed to anything.

Had an absolute blast though, everything I saw was exceptional.

Best sets were probably Amelie, Joy Orb, FP and Caribou.

That’s me done with raving for a good few months, time to let the body rest and lay off the hedonism for a bit!

Also the first year I didn’t see a single set of drum and bass!

Round about 3.30am Monday morning, half an hour into Storm’s set I became “drum and bassed out”

Went round the corner to Felix Dickinson . Had a wonderful hour and a half.

Groove Armada was such a perfect bookend to the festival for us. Feel all gooey just thinking about it. The Lovebirds at the end was gorgeous.

I saw...

Badger - The Bug

LSB - Glade Dome

Maribou State - West Holts

Oppidan - Temple

Joy Orbison - Temple

Fish56Octagon - Greenpeace

Skream & Benga - Levels

Annie Mac b2b Jamz Supernova - Arcadia

Groove Armada b2b Jungle - Arcadia

MAJ!C (a bit of) - Luna

Deep Dish - Glade

Prodigy - Other

Friday Maribou State into Oppidan/Joy Orbison double in The Temple was just magic. We JUST made it to Temple in time - had to queue for 40 mins and missed 15 mins of Oppidan but she was incredible and bought all our energy back and more before Joy built something over a little longer set and just killed it.

I noticed the same thing about the sound at Fish's trance set coming from the wrong place and it kind of ruined it for me. The crowd was sparse enough that it had quite a negative effect of splitting everyone's attention and slightly killing the vibe. Particularly when a good chunk of people left after realising he wasn't going to be playing other genres. He still gave me some absolute gooseys with multiple tracks but overall felt like I made the wrong choice (although friends said Caribou wasn't that special either). Skream & Benga absolutely saved my Saturday after that disappointment stacked on top of Deftones cancelling. A really fun set mixing old and new dubstep tunes that made my Mrs lose her sh1t and gave us some renewed hunger for the rest of the night.

Went to Deep Dish at Glade because it was a mate's must-see and a nice bit of nostalgia for me. Was solid but felt like the wrong slot for them. Prodigy were incredible, glad so many on this thread persuaded me to ditch Overmono in favour of them. Feel like I do owe it to myself to go and see them at All Points East now though.

My biggest regrets retrospectively (which I know shouldn't be too harsh on myself about) are: not having a better post 2am Saturday plan (tried plenty but nothing felt right), not seeing Four Tet's Friday Woodsies set, not getting in the Sunflower Soundsystem (reports were that it was VERY special in there) and not finding any reason for a good sesh at IICON or Genosys.

Overall though an absolutely vintage year after a 6 year gap. Absolutely desperate to get back in 2027.

Just about back to reality! what a week!

Managed to see (That I can remember):

Peaky T ibiza classics set at the blind tiger

Eliza Rose at the Glade

Roi Perez then Avalon Emerson at San Remo

Crazy P at The Glade

Craig Charles in Shangri La

Luke Una in the Stonebridge

Logic 1000, Optimo, Max Cooper, Romy & Palms Trax B2b Job Jobse on Arcadia

Erol Alkan B2b Fall Forward (bugged out classcis) in the Stonebridge

Fcukers in Woodsies

Fish56octagon on the rave tree

Richie Hawtin on the Glade

a load of stuff down in Block 9 & Shangri La on Saturday night but couldn't say for sure exactly what or who was playing aha

Greg Wilson at the stonebridge

Deep Dish on the Glade

Prodigy on the other

Paula Tape at san remo

Simone on lonely hearts

Ky Mossman at the wishing well

Honestly not 100% sure who we caught on Thursday but it definitely started with Peaky T at the blind tiger then I think it definitely included eliza rose on the Glade & roi perez then avalon emerson at san remo later on at night (there was more but I was a little worse for wear on long island ice tea to remember much...)

Friday enjoyed Crazy P on the glade then down to craig charles in Shangri la for a bit. not sure how but ended up in at luke una in the stonebridge in the evening which was excellent, caught the end of logic1000 then optimo & max cooper on arcadia who were both excellent then back up to the stonebridge for erol alkan b2b fall forward (bugged out classics) via dermot o' leary playing 80s bangers at the wishing well (just cause aha) and then back down to arcadia and caught romy and palms trax b2b job jobse! Optimo, luke una & plams b2b job were definitely the stand outs this night.

Saturday caught Fcukers but woodsies was far too hot to hang around in so only caught the first 15 mins or so before admitting defeat, they were very good I thought though! Ended up at fish56octagon in the evening and agree with others was good but felt I woulda been better going to leftfield or persuading my mate to go to doechii instead. richie hawtin on the glade I thought was excellent and then down the naughty corner til 5am, anyones guess who was seen down there but I think it included benji B & blawan for a bit.

Sunday managed to catch a wee bit of greg wilson up in the stonebridge

Then later on got down for deep dish which was very good I though but agree probably been better in the dark, did at least make up for not getting near NYC downlow for the classic house set the night/morning before and then prodigy which was by far set of the whole weekend for me and headed off into the night where we ended up at san remo for Paula Tape, round to lonely hearts and caught simone and then up to the park to finish the night off in the wishing well cause that's the beat that took our fancy, think it was ky mossman on at that point.

Roll on 2027!

I did, very much enjoyed their set but could have done with being later, longer and in the dark.

I was working for Avalon Bars so missed a lot but did catch:

Marshall Jefferson

THOG (some of)

Floating Points - Woodsies

Four Tet - Woodsies

LTJ Bukem (the end of)

Camelphat

Amelie Lens - LHC (half of)

Leftfield (15 mins of when on break)

Richie Hawtin (30 mins of when on break)

Amelie Lens - Glade (last 45 mins) - when I was let off early)

The Orb

Deep Dish

The Prodigy

Seth Troxler

Groove Armada DJ (Levels)

Also saw some bits on Genosys and IICON but don't know what.

Anyone catch Becky Hill on Arcadia,Sunday night. One of the most sublime DnB sets I’ve ever seen

Yes, was really good, coming straight from an amazing Prodigy set up to Becky Hill and then Shy FX B2B Eats Everything was a great way to finish the festival for us.

We also loved Arcadia in general this year (helped by the fact that it was on our way back to the campsite) thought the sound was immeasurably better than our last visit which was the Spider in 2022. Romy on Friday night was the highlight for me, we'd done a bit of FBS on LHC but it was way too busy to be fun so switched out to Levels for LTJ Bukem, which was great so stayed till the end of that, then went up to Arcadia for the end of Sonny Fodera (was ok), and the whole of Romy's set which was some really epic trance that had us boogying from start to finish - a mash up of Diving Faces by Liquid Child and I'm in the corner by Robyn was probably the singular highlight of my entire weekend.

Agree with others that the Rave Tree didn't really work for Fish56Octagon. A combination of things for us, firstly as others have mentioned, the disconnect between the DJ and the Sound was jarring, and finding the right spot for the sound, meant you were in a weird spot for the act. Also, although his tune selection was great, and this is not meant as a dig, because he has obviously come out of nowhere via Instagram, it really highlighted how some of the really top DJs add something more than simply playing out the tunes in terms of building sets, blending tunes, dropping surprises and the like. Not a criticism of Fish who was good, but more the fact it made you admire the greats.
