In no particular order-

Mongol Horde - Fantastic. Great performance by Frank. Crowd were amazing, all going crazy and singing along. Don't retire the Horde, Frank. PLEASE!!!

letlive. - Again, what a performance!! How does Jason Butler keep that high energy act up? Relentless. Huge crowd, mental!

Band Of Skulls - Managed to convert all of my mates, Dragged them all in, not that they were kicking and screaming as we were watching Jake Bugg, and was hailed a hero.Band Of Skulls have at least 8 new fans.

Front Bottom - No idea why they are not bigger. 'Nuff said.

Jimmy Eat World - The Futures set. Amazing stuff. Was starting to get well pissed by this stage of the day so my judgement could be distorted but in my opinion they were miles better than their main stage set. Did they actually play all of 'Futures'? Didn't seem like it but my memory may have been blurred by the demon alcohol.

Honourable mentions to Brody and Cage the Elephant. Both good performances. Also, I haven't included QOTSA as I was so pissed I cannot for the life of me remember their set. My mates tell me that I loved them and was saying that they were best band of the day but as I cant remember I haven't put them in my Top 5.I was shown a video of me in the second row the next day with 'sick, sick, sick' in the background so I definitely watched them.

1) don broco - never seen live and I was very surprised. I wasn't expecting them to be that good.

2) royal blood - class

3) wilkinson - was only there as I saw duke dumont. Very surprising and got me dancing even though I was hanging,

4) enter Shikari - I loved Shikari for years but have too many songs I want to hear and in such a small set you can't get them. Would like them to stop filling in the gaps between songs with rambling about politics.

5) papa roach - a good sing along with loads of energy.

This being my first Reading Fest... It was incredible.

1) Jungle - haven't danced so much in a long long time, stood at the back with some friends and had an absolute blast. Their album has also been a favourite since it came out.

2)QOTSA - most anticipated set for me and absolutely loved - all I can say.

3) Royal Blood - was a big part in my Saturday of joy... everyone around me was going mental and they truely stormed it.

4) Gnarwolves - craziest crowd I was in all weekend long and at 12pm. that's it

5) The Hives - first time seeing them and I now understand what everyone was going on about.

Drenge are worth a mention, big sounds and a dress

1) Queens of the Stone Age - Absolutely perfect set in my opinion and I loved every second of it and was gutted when they got to Make It Wit Chu because I had no idea how long they'd been on for but from that knew they were nearly finished. It wasn't just a great setlist for me but for everyone at the festival who wasn't even a fan. So many friends saw them over Courteeners on my recommendation and fell in love with them. The highlights for me had to be Feel Good Hit and SFTD which were spellbinding. Incredible.

2) Royal Blood - The tent was rammed and I was basically suffocating by the time of Figure It Out but my god was this good. For about half of the set I was moving around like a drop of water in a sea it was that busy and when I did find a good space the sound was just impeccable. They will be headlining in at least five years based upon this.

3) The Hives - You hear a lot about how good these guys are live but my word did they fulfil my expacatations and more. I'd just had an argument with my mate (don't worry it's resolved) so was in the mood to just mosh around and go wild. This was the perfect set for that and while I'd have liked Try It Again and Wait a Minute the songs we did get were great. It is all a bit gimmicky but I couldn't help but love the pretty much constant pit I could just jump into and out of throughout the set. Superb.

4) Jimmy Eat World - Their setlist on the Main Stage was terrific and the crowd where I was were fantastic. Had such a good sing along and dance to Big Casino, Bleed American, Sweetness and The Middle was just euphoric. Kind of wanted Hear You Me as it's a special song for me personally as well as Pain but obviously that was part of the Futures set on Lock Up. Excellent.

5) Klaxons - It was a toss up between Klaxons and AM for number five but I'll give it to Klaxons because they actually surpassed my expectations whereas AM were what I expected. Went with a friend who I'd barely seen all weekend as he's a bit of a raver/dance fan and Klaxons gave us something we could both enjoy. Being about halfway back the crowd was good and we could both have a good dance without loads of shoving and moshing. Setlist was excellent and they sounded brilliant plus the lights and display were cool as well. Really fun.

1. Royal Blood - Superb Pairing that are going to go very far!

2. QOTSA - Never been a huge fan so decided i'd pop along to see them but was not desperate in any way, however, I was hugely impressed with their set!

3. Enter Shikari - Always knew they'd be good and they didn't disappoint.

4. Arctic Monkeys - Really Really good setlist, very happy with the likes of When the Sun goes Down and Teddy Picker but Alex's face but them down to four on my list.

5. Catfish and the Bottlemen - Great band with a bright looking future, very impressed!

Blink-182 - Incredible set, sounded really good to me and was thoroughly enjoyable. I was really impressed by Travis' drum fills and solos, and Marks go at the drums at the end wasn't bad either. I found it wierd how All The Small things wasn't the closing song. Loved the stage set up with the light and extra screens and how the screens showed different images and had filters ect rather than all just showing the same thing.

Paramore - Having the sound cut was really bad but I felt they recovered really well and The Only Exception was really incredibly beautiful and the best moment of the festival and made up for the cut sound. The band played great, even better than when I've seen the before and i loved the full stage set up that they had from Monumentour. The only downside was the short set length and the lack of Emergency, Crushcrushcrush and Born For This. Having those extra 3 would have made it perfect.

Queens Of The Stoneage - Incredibly tight set from the band, had a great view and although I didn't know all the songs I still really enjoyed them. The opening 3 of Millionaire, No One Knows and My God Is The Sun was phenomenal and the lighting created a great atmosphere and the lasers were pretty funky.

Don Broco - Really good atmosphere, opening with an acoustic Yeah Man was great and Thug Workout was insane. The new song sounded really good and I loved the whole set as I've been waiting a while to get to see them. Will hopefully see them next year on the KTour.

Royal Blood - Huge crowd, insane atmosphere, flawless sound, had to take a breather after this for LTA but was such a good set. These guys are headliners in the making.

Mentions to: Artic Monkeys, You Me At Six, Papa Roach, Lower Than Atlantis, The Hives & Mallory Knox who were all close to getting spots 4&5. Such a good year with so many bands I loved watching.

Young Guns and Tonight Alive were really good but the crowd didn't really get going for them.

.

The bugger of it is, they played 1 more song at Rock En Seine on Sunday and it was I Appear Missing :(

At Rock en Seine QOTSA were superb, easily the best headliner there Arctic Monkeys were a bit 'plodding' apart from the old stuff and Prodigy were the same as every other time you see them 'Where are my Paris warriors' etc
