There will be some minor names for sure (some have been hinted at on their Instagram page), but since ticket sales are also starting tomorrow I'm guessing they'll have at least one big shot to give sales a boost from the start.

For some reason roskilde starting a day earlier this year, perhaps go a headliner who can only do the Wednesday night.

I would be happy with foos/Coldplay as headliners.

So if there's no AC/DC at Novarock do we think they'll be doing European festivals? Gun'N'Roses appear to be rumoured for Nova

and today's GnR announcement was not a festival:

GUNS N’ ROSES TO RELEASE 3D CONCERT

‘APPETITE FOR DEMOCRACY 3D: LIVE AT THE HARD ROCK CASINO – LAS VEGAS’

FILMED AT THE JOINT IN LAS VEGAS

In November 2012, with a team of 3D cameras rolling, the legendary, multi-platinum selling rock band Guns N’ Roses took the desert by storm, performing a blistering set at The Joint in the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. Clocking in at just under three hours, the band’s explosive set includes all of their biggest hits and classic GN’R staples.

Universal Music Catalogue will release the live Guns N’ Roses concert film Appetite For Democracy 3D: Live at the Hard Rock Casino - Las Vegas, on November 3, 2014, which will be available on Blu-ray™, featuring the complete concert film in both 3D and 2D plus an interactive 3D photo gallery, standard DVD featuring the 2D version of the film, and both Deluxe 2CD+Blu-ray and Deluxe 2CD+DVD sets. Both the Blu-ray and DVD releases are mixed in 5.1 Surround Sound and feature bonus interviews with the band. The GN’R Appetite For Democracy Official App (iOS/Android), ..., brings the concert experience to a new level by connecting GN’R directly with their fans, allowing fans to connect with each other via social media, buy exclusive merchandise, check tour/cinema dates for the movie, preview digital tracks of the film; and purchase or stream via VOD the digital long form concert.

Appetite For Democracy 3D is the first official Guns N’ Roses live concert film since 1992’s Use Your Illusion concert video and features brand new live performances of classic GN’R tracks including “Welcome To The Jungle,” “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Mr. Brownstone,” “Paradise City,” “Nightrain,” “It’s So Easy” and “Rocket Queen,” from their pivotal, 1987 No. 1 debut album Appetite For Destruction; “Patience” and “Used To Love Her” from 1988’s No. 2 charting album Lies; “November Rain,” “Don’t Cry,” “Civil War” and “Estranged” from their 1991 releases Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, the latter shooting to No. 1 on The Billboard 200; and current favorites off their 2008 No. 3 album Chinese Democracy including “Better,” “Catcher In The Rye,” “This I Love,” “Street of Dreams” and the album’s title track. Appetite For Democracy 3D also features the band’s signature versions of Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let

Die” and Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door;” powerful renditions of The Who’s “The Seeker” and Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2;” plus performances of Bumblefoot’s “Objectify” featuring Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal on vocals and Tommy Stinson’s “Motivation” with Stinson taking over the mic.

Released in the U.S. on July 1^st by Universal Music Enterprises (UMe), Appetite For Democracy 3D: Live at the Hard Rock Casino - Las Vegas debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Music DVD chart where it stayed for the first two weeks. Since its release, it has remained in the Top 5 for a total of eight weeks straight and continues to stay in the Top 10.

"The U.S. DVD and Blu-Ray™ release has exceeded our sales expectations,” says the film’s producer Barry Summers, Rock Fuel Media. “We’re very proud to release this internationally for GN’R fans to enjoy for many years to come,” continues Summers.

In 1987 Guns N’ Roses burst onto the hard rock scene and, with their punk rock ethics and an uncompromising, explosive sound, turned a scene filled with synth-pop and hair-metal on its end, propelling the band to the top of the charts. Filling stadiums and arenas across the globe, much like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Sex Pistols, Guns N’ Roses wrote their own chapter in rock and roll history and continue to make their own rules.

Now, celebrated worldwide as one of the most important rock acts in music history, Guns N’ Roses are Axl Rose, DJ Ashba (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Tommy Stinson (bass), Richard Fortus (guitar), Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (guitar), Chris Pitman (keyboards) and Frank Ferrer (drums). Guns N’ Roses continue on their sold-out global arena tour, with shows in the US, Europe, visits to Latin America and multiple festivals, having played to millions of fans around the globe.

What do you think about Arcade Fire, will they tour again?

I wish sth like that: Muse, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Coldplay.

I'd say: replace Arcade Fire with QOTSA. It looks like AF have concluded their Reflektor tour, so I doubt they'll be back next Summer. And QOTSA is aiming to release a new album in 2015, with rumours saying that they'll support Foo Fighters on their UK Summer dates.

And if they're supporting Foos, you think they'll headline RW?...not sub Foos on their day?

I think they're too big in Belgium for a sub spot, they could easily sell out a Werchter day on their own. Supporting their friends at a sold out Wembley stadium could be an exception to the headlining status, similar to Faith No More being third down at the Black Sabbath Hyde Park gig.

Guys, QOTSA aren't actually supporting Foos at any Wembley show - the poster that you've seen was made up by a guy who posts on the R&L forums. 100% not legit :P

Could Nick Cave make a visit without the seeds? He's touring in May and playing Brussels(I got tickets for Brussels), rule him out?

I hope he does do some festival dates. Glasto, RW, Roskilde are all on the cards hopefully :)

... after a great time in RW' 14, my friends and I have managed to get tickets for Glasto'15 ( after failling in '14) so... hoping RW to have a great line up this year although my eyes will be looking to the Worthy Farm...

good luck everyone!

Cheers

Nice! Everyone in my group managed to get tickets again too.

You could do both? I did Glastonbury and RW last year and may well do it again this year (Or Pinkpop). Not going to lie, 10 days of festivalling in 12 days is knackering but it'll be the best two weeks of your life!

See you at Worthy Farm :beach:

Oh, I encountered it via a Dutch twitter page, odd to see an eFests fake spread so wide :P Either way, the band confirmed that they'd already written a new album which would be recorded after the Summer tour. So if doing European fests for 3 years in a row isn't an issue, QOTSA could still be up for it.

As for Nick Cave: not sure if he's going to do major fests with a supposedly intimate show, especially since he's dropping by so close to Summer already.

haha that's class. He did it as an experiment of sorts to see if it would spread on places like here and twitter. I'd love to see QOTSA on the circuit again next year but don't have very high hopes I must admit.

That's true about Cave. He is touting this new tour as an intimate experience of sorts isn't he?

I was a bit worried about trying to do both but I'm really looking forwards to it
