EPIC as in Faith No More? Are they headliner material for RW?

Faith No More are certainly no RW headliner material, that's Dour or Graspop territory.

Perhaps Foo Fighters are announcing the rest of their Summer tour on Monday? They're also rumoured for Download, and it'd be an epic announcement for any major fest.

Story from a reliable source on a different forum: The rescheduling is because one of the headliners they want is leaving Europe before the first weekend of July, and they don't want to miss out like they did with Arcade Fire this year. Another reason is less competition that weekend and Glasto offering chances of a better day line up.

Sounds plausible with roskilde moving band days from Thursday - Sunday to Wednesday-Saturday.

Arcade Fire didnt leave europe at June.they did Hyde Park gig on July 3th and I think it was announced after KOL got announced for RW. I think it means that if RW were willing to pay enough they could get them. They thought KOL and Franz Ferdinand is good enough

In that RW documentary, there was a bit about Stromae, and the organiser said they had to mask Stromae as a dance act because KoL would only allow acts they consider bigger than theirselves above them (unless it's a closing dance act). So I'm assuming they both wanted top spot and KoL won?

they shared it as Download is organised and owned by Live Nation, who are the promoters for the Slipknot/Korn tour. Nothing should be looked into it too much at this stage I don't think.

Well with Slipknot playing Rock Am Ring the week before, it makes them highly likely to be doing Download too. Dunno why RAR announced them already though, they have their own dates to sell now!

Not that they'll be playing RW anyway!

what are the chances of a 4th stage? it would make much sense to have the possibility to see smaller acts at RW and not only the big names. this is what makes Pukkelpop this great every year, seeing newcomers in the tents from 12h midday

I don't think 4th stage is necessary. There's always clashes in the schedule.

Korn & Slipknot can make headliner one day at Werchter, like Rammstein & Volbeat. Can see happening.

I don't think Slipknot will play unfortunately. A lot of the heavier bands seem to go to graspop which I think will be the case for Slipknot.

Thinking the headliners will be some sort of combination between U2, Foo Fighters, Editors, Coldplay and Muse. Really hoping for Foo Fighters, and hoping there's a couple of decent headliners in the mix and if not some good alternatives.

Interesting. They were the only band I thought were big enough to reschedule an entire festival. If not Foo Fighters maybe RW has a wild card that we have not considered yet.
