Fairly sure Showtime do as they bought the scripts and all or something, Frost is still on board so may not be a complete train wreck. Frost was key to a lot of the series to be fair.

I just think it would be funny to watch people's reactions if instead of a direct sequel series we got another Fire Walk With Me.

although everybody going should have been champing at the bit to pay up, i can see this getting a bit of criticism, and i'm sure a fair few people have unknowingly just missed the final payment date. very odd behaviour from the Glasto team

In any other year it'd probably be OK, but the clash with the Easter break when people might be away does exacerbate it a bit.

It's kind of a failure, but it's a really, really interesting failure. It plays less like a prequel or sequel and more like a deconstruction of the entire show. David Foster Wallace was pretty much spot on about it in his essay David Lynch Keeps His Head:

"This transformation of Laura from object/occasion to subject/person was actually the most morally ambitious thing a Lynch movie has ever tried to do - maybe an impossible thing, given the psychological context of the series and the fact that you had to be familiar with the series to make even marginal sense of the movie - and it required complex and contradictory and probably impossible things from Ms. Lee, who in my opinion deserved an Oscar nomination just for showing up and trying."

It's a mess, but it's also bleak as hell and fucking heartbreaking in places.

a single email that could get lost amongst the thousand of other spam emails people receive isn't really enough though, is it? i know i'd be paying up asap, but i'm sure we'll be seeing a fair few complaints in the next few weeks regarding this

I wouldn't say I was local as such - just someone who knows some people. As for the lack of anything, it is odd. Is this the latest a line up has been announced before?
