Noel is 100% not at Glastonbury this year. He said a few days ago he will be in Australia (I think) for "a much more handsome fee". It was said while laughing in a tongue in cheek kind of way but that clears up any hope anyone had of him being there.

Man, you are the only person speaking sense. There seem to be a lot of folks in denial that she could be the headliner. To my mind she is now the obvious contender and until she rules herself out or the official line up is released I'm standing my ground. Michael's first comments last year. We want Oasis and Taylor Swift. If she plays we will mainly get a belting pop show of 1989 songs and a selection of her back catalogue but there is not going to be much country as she has changed her entire band. It is likely to sound more pop/ rock I would say

I'm not entirely sure michael eavis said he wanted her. It was more a politeness when asked about her, responding with 'Taylor would be great to follow the Dolly Parton slot – especially being a country singer'

I'm sure he'd have found a reason to respond to anyone positively if he was asked.

I'm not sure, not trying to piss on ur bonfire, just the way I saw it, someone else may know more?

I don't buy that, people have had from 9am Wed morning, you won't sit in a pub all day for the whole weekend, it takes 5 mins to enter details and pay off the balance. The earliest people would have gone away would of been today.

If someone forgets to pay then they obviously arent that bothered to go (unless illness or injury). If u wanna go u make sure u pay

Indeed! It's not something you forget either really is it. You know you paid a deposit, you know when the payment window is going to be and you have 5 out of 7 days to pay it if you were at the extreme going away from Thursday until Monday.

Might have been that. I heard him say it as well though so whoever said it hasn't made it up.

Agree. They'l obviously be those who can't afford it cause financial situations changed. But overall, U pay if u wanna go

Bloody hell. Can you imagine waking up the day after deadline thinking 'I'm sure I had something to do.' 'oh fucking hell.'

Well....

My mate couldn't pay til today. (He is paid weekly) I had posted on FB that I'd paid. All our group has (barring him).

This morning as I left for work, I sent him a text:

"Did you pay off glastonbury? It was a 1 day window this year"

Apparently for 10 seconds panic hit him in his half asleep state til he realised. Oh, and I'm a knobhead.

As already posted, if you got to the day after the deadline closed when you're Facebook/Twitter feed/email would've been very clear in telling you about the balance payment window and it hadn't been paid, you weren't that interested and just paid a deposit because you thought you only may attend anyway.

Not harsh, just the reality of it.

To be honest, the reason why I don't do much Easter is due to affording to pay this off. Tried to budget for it, clearly didn't happen! Gigs all over the shop this year!

I'm more disappointed you didn't wait the extra day and save the postage! ;P
