Never sure why there's so much hate on newbie posts. These forum sites predominantly are for people to speculate and debate on people's wishes and the likelihood of bands appearing at festivals. Foals are at the level now where they could smash a set on the pyramid at least at sub-level, especially with a new album out soon. People are ignorant and blind if they genuinely think that Prince or Madonna are nailed-on headliners or that the line-up is out today. In reality none of us really have a clue and that's why it's so exciting.

Yep. People are just getting quite tetchy at the moment. Don't worry about it.

It's not.

She has a tupperware party with Jo Wiley on the Sunday.

I'm hoping you're right.

I know she's big, but personally I find her way overrated.

Mr Purple all the way for me. If not, I'll be found crawling round the unfair ground and Shangri La on Sunday/Monday morning

People so snobby on here, nothing wrong with foo fighters. They play there own music and write there own songs. but beacuse they happen to be popular people sem to be able to slag em off. and for the record im not a big foo fighters fan. Dave Grohl is a great musician .

I can enjoy a bit of foo Fighters, but i'd say you've stretched things waaaay too far.

They're really only today's version of a three chord Status Quo. With less social comment.

Obviously you're not a musician, some of the time signatures they use, the complexity of the bass riffs and drum fills are really quite impressive given their popularity. I'd say of the mainstream rock bands, it's probably only Biffy Clyro (oh yeah and Muse) that out-do the Foos musically, especially live. I'll agree that they're not exactly Dream Theater, but to call them Status Quo is a country mile off.

People take the piss out of Quo, but it's not like they really only use three chords.

If Madonna is such a rumour how come she isn't included on the Glasto rumours page?

I've been meaning to say this, apparently she's strongly rumoured and many many on here think it's either her or Prince yet Neil hasn't even listed her as a rumour, either he knows it's definitely not her or knows it is and has been asked to keep quiet

as I've said, I've had what should be perfect word that it's not her.

Like everything I hear I can't gaurantee it's correct because people have 'covering up' as a reason to lie, tho I do think what I've heard is on the money.

I actually think some of the mosh pit arguments are more pertinent this year as it happens. The front of the Pyramid had been more-or-less evacuated for Metallica last year, the only people still in there seemed to be metal fans who knew what was going down. Whereas it'll be rammed for the Foos, I can see a bit of conflict happening during, say, All My Life. Just a thought.

I'm kind of glad that Foal's picture has been posted again.

This comment made me laugh a lot: ''Come to Lithuania...I hope the new album will be experiemental or simply mental''

More hit singles in the UK than any other act in history.

Not too shabby.

If they're the third headliner I have visions of my arthritic mother scaling the fence

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
