So really could be as late as next Friday. Personally I think next Wednesday (1st April) is likely though I like Sir Robin's reasoning from earlier. Even if it is far too sensible for these parts. Rational, reasoned thought? OUT! :P

Today's hunch on the headliner: Florence

HELP NEEDED.

What am I going to do with all my free time once the lineup is announced? Every free moment I have seemed to be going through all the pages I missed since last logging on or constant refreshing for new stuff. After the anouncement I may have time to take up a new hobby. Thank god I don't have access to my phone or internet at work!!!

Eh then we obsess over the possible clashes and start trying to predict for clashfinder and obsess about when the stage timings coming out.

Its a drip feed of excitement taking you all the way to the turnstiles on worthy farm!

Just seen Jamie xx record label confirm he is definitely playing Glastonbury, fire up the TBC stamp

Brilliant news!

Where did you see this? Follow Young Turks on most things and haven't noticed anything.

EDIT: Just seen it :)

Thanks for that, I was looking through thinking oh god it could be as late as May, but looking at the past 2 years it seems likely within the next week.

Hasn't Emily denied it's Florence?

    • They will have strictly 14 days to comply, at the end of which they will strictly have another 14 days to comply.
    • Bonobo has a new album out in September.  Touring the US the end of this year, so hopefully UK dates and festivals in 2027.  Would make a superb Park headliner.
    • I was following up to pink_triangle's post about what Reform are saying they will do to find money for defence spending.   But with Labour, they may well water down or delay some of the net zero commitments, they may find ways to cut welfare spending with Pat McFadden's welfare review thing, but I don't think it's going to be near enough. They really tied themselves down with the tax commitments in their manifesto, just reversing Hunt's NI cuts would have gone a long way. Under Burnham I think they may try and reform some of the tax system, land taxes and levies etc. Certainly needs reforming. But that might all be after a general election if Labour were to win.  I reckon they will try and do something with fiscal rules to borrow more, and try and persuade markets to go along with them.  (and he's already rowed back on that waspi thing...I think his team and others in Labour had a word).
    • Feels like Leeds getting axed is just a matter of time now, and to be honest, it might be the only way to save Reading. The whole twin-site format just feels proper dated and way too expensive to run nowadays. If they scrapped Leeds and focused entirely on Reading, turning it into a proper London-adjacent day-trip fest for the younger crowd like All Points East or Wireless, it would actually make sense financially. But yeah, for the old-school rock crowd, the R&L era is completely dead and buried.
