Doesn't it annoy you when you spend hours and hours on here and other Glastonbury related sites and then the one hour of the day you are not checking and reading your friend or wife or someone who never checks anything texts you to say "The line ups out, looks ok" or something similarly vague and non descriptive. Or even worse you are in a meeting and take a sneak peak at your phone, see the message but then cant check the full line up for hours.

Hasn't happened yet this year, but I expect it to any day now.

Hmm. I'd be careful, even if you can prove it - you'd need to be able to prove it with admissible evidence and it'd cost you shitloads even to get that far. I've seen plenty of defamation cases based on comments just like that (although, to be fair, they're usually said to customers).

It would never get to court. Liar knows what he does, knows he's been rumbled for it, and knows I have the witnesses to make my claim stand up.

Jesus, imagine if it was The Cure, what an outcome that would be, The Hanging Garden belting out from The Pyramid Stage on the last night of the festival is the stuff dreams are made of.

They're absolutely dire live.

I would love the extended opening to Fascination Street just for that glorious bassline...........crunching and rolling out from massive stacks across Worthy Farm, shuddering punters with its vibrations would be absolutely wonderous............

I'm sticking with one of the three theories

Taylor Swift the bookies favourite

Stone Roses with the rumoured 'reunion'

P***** with Flo to fall back on

I just don't know which

i think the Roses can be ruled out - somebody over in the 'betting on Roses' thread has said they ran in to Mani last night and he said he'd be DJing at Bez's Acid House but the band wouldn't be playing, plus another poster has said his friend with connections to the Roses has heard nothing about them performing. all seems to be pointing to 'no' now

i still can't believe it's got to the point where Prince seems like the most likely option, but yeah.. let's say Prince, and just hope to high heaven that Flo hasn't gotten a call about being bumped up

That would be something else, I don't think they played it at Leeds festival, they did play about 40 other songs though.

Anyone spotted that prince and florence and the machine have been moved to the sunday in the lineup page...

Prince is listed as Sunday because it's the only possible day he can play now, because if he plays he's obviously going to headline

And I believe Neil said Florence has been moved to Sunday because she's only a ® and she's still a possibility to headline the Sunday due to Emily's deceiving comments

Foo's, Kanye and Prince. I might just be getting my refund ready at this rate. I think it's fairly weak for glastonbury's standards but I just hope they do what every other UK festival have done. Relatively weak headliners but the rest of the bill is amazing.

Yeah the same when they played the Electric Picnic a few years back. They played an utterly mammoth set but no Facination Street which was perplexing to a lot of folk.

The 4 min extended intro live would simply be a wet dream.............

I saw Radiohead when they headlined Leeds in 2009. Completely underwhelming and we left half way through to go and watch La Roux instead...

To each their own, I'm not a fan, hadn't heard a single note of their material before than show, but I remember having a great time.

    • We'll see. Bristol and Leeds are both massively overdue big public transport investment - 2 of the cities with the worst transport infrastructure per capita in Western Europe. If this works to help support investment projects great and fair play to Burnham.
    • The Bródy Day was his idea because Sziget has always been late when it comes to this kind of concert. They would only organize farewell performances or tribute shows after an artist had passed away. Since Bródy is one of the country's greatest singer-songwriters, they wanted to honor him while he is still alive. (He didn't say it exactly like that, but the man is 80 and has just stopped playing large concerts.) He never understood why anyone would focus exclusively on one generation, especially Gen Z, who have less disposable income, drink less, and are, in his words, "afraid of partying." He explained that in the past, people loved festivals because of the nonstop partying, whereas many younger people today find that experience overwhelming or exhausting. That's one of the reasons why Sziget will introduce more chill zones and sensory-friendly spaces. They also want to attract older generations, who are generally more willing and able to spend money. The Sziget Icons days are aimed at this audience, and in the future they hope to create a more balanced lineup that appeals to people over 35 as well.   It was a long interview. If anything else comes to mind, I'll share it.
    • Maybe you need a groovy mayor who can get you the money.   Anyway, looks like mayors going to get a whole load of fiscal devolution and greater powers...so best everyone gets one, a decent one, and get a load of Madchesterism.
