Headliners 2015

The Eagles were heavily rumoured for last year and were discussed to death - personally (and i think a lot of people will agree) that they're just not a right fit for Glastonbury. kind of the same for Pearl Jam - the Glastonbury crowd would be largely uninterested (plus The Eagles fees would probably be far too big for Glastonbury, and i doubt Eavis would extend said fees like he did with the Stones)

I could see The Eagles would have been a good booking in the 00s but not sure they are right for Glastonbury anymore. Would they be a big draw?

The idea that Pearl Jam and the Eagles dont "fit" Glastonbury is a pile of cack............

At this rate pretty much anything fits Glastonbury these days

'fit' as in people wouldn't give a shit about them headlining. the younger crowd of today's Glastonbury (for the most part) wouldn't be interested in either act. they don't have the same legendary status that Stones, U2, Stevie Wonder etc have here in the UK. argue all you like, but neither act have been booked (either in their heyday or now) so there must be a reason for that

Radiohead MUST be in the running for next year. if they aren't booked next year off the back of a new album then it's a travesty

I think the reasons for that have been speculated on here plenty of times. PJ was "not after Roskilde" and the Eagles was "They are too greedy". Are those reasons true? Who really knows............Thats not to say that things can change and the organisers and bands change how they approach Glastonbury.

I dont really think the organisers think "does the legend we book appeal to the youf or not?"

I think both would go down well with a lot of people and certainly wouldn't be a bland booking like most people agree that coldplay/foo's is.

Yeah not sure about this. I've been obsessed with music since I was 13 and I know three Stevie Wonder songs.

Obviously a worthy headliner and a huge act, but suggesting that everybody knows all of his songs is way off. You'd go far to find people who can name a song that isn't Superstitious, Signed, Sealed, Delivered or Isn't She Lovely.
