i'm struggling to believe that that poster is real. QOTSA supporting Foos is the stuff people dream of. just seems too good to be true - will wait for the official word before i get excited, but if it is real then i'm definitely gonna have to try and get tickets (which i never thought i'd do for a Foos show again)

As much as if like it to be real I would've thought QOTSA wouldn't be touring next year seems like they've been non stop touring for quite a while now

I've seen QOTSA support foos twice so its not unthinkable! If it was just those two QOTSA could even play an hour and a half so it feels less like a support slot for a band who can headline festivals in their own right

yeah in the past it would've made perfect sense but QOTSA did their own arena tour / headlined R/Ls so i'd say they're too big for support slots now. i know they're friends so it could all boil down to that (and if so, damn that's good) but still...

That poster doesn't look real to me, but having said that the dates would make sense.

I can see them doing Glastonbury if they do those dates at Wembley - tickets should sell fairly quickly. It's obviously not a case of 'nailed on' because as has been said above, Wembley is a pretty big gig in its own right. They did the same sort of shows in 2008.

As it stands, it appears one of Muse, AC/DC and Foo Fighters are in the running. I'd be surprised if two or more of them played in the same year.

Yeah thats why i suggested QOTSA play for an hour and a half. so its a support slot but you still get a full QOTSA set.

Oasis had kasabian support them in 2009 at which point they had subbed glasto, released fire and the next year they headlined V festival. I think the lure of playing stadiums with your mates would be enough for Josh to agree to support foos

If the foos at wembley is real (which is probably is, even if QOTSA aren't support) then I can imagine them doing T and maybe reading like arctics did this year.

QOTSA and then The Foo's is orgasmically good. If it's genuine it's something that I really won't want to miss.

there's no way Foos are gonna be at Reading again. i know Dave loves it but Foos have already been a rare occurrence of a three year gap between headlining ('02 and '05) so to do it again would be a bit silly

more likely to do... ANY of the other festivals i'd have thought (although TITP or IOW seem most likely)

matey who runs IoW is now trying his hardest to not book headliners who are also doing big London shows - it hits his ticket sales too much.

That doesn't mean he won't book foos (if those shows are true), but it does mean he'll probably try to not book them (what he actually does will depend on who is available, of course).

After going Bestival, I can see why you would choose a big London gig over anything on the IoW

Time of year too is a little shitty, I don't know.. I've always wanted to try it but it does seem to have alot of strings attached.

that it is. last time i went ('12) we left on Tuesday at 3pm and didn't get there until Wednesday at 7.30am. the biggest reason i haven't returned since. lineups are always so good but that travelling...

Agree its a pain in the arse to get to and if memory serves they double the price of the ferry which really pisses me off.

The festival didn't really do it for me either so it was a lot of effort and money for a ok ish weekend

Royal Blood do seem like the obvious option - almost too much so. i know it's not gonna be QOTSA but god Royal Blood would be a dull choice

1) GROUT is something my sister taught me having learnt it at uni. Theres also Grove (great move) and many more which i shall not bore you about.

2) I feel it's my duty to squeeze metal references now i've done it so much! (nah it's just a genre that i mainly prefer and can relate to and talk about, it just seemed especially appropriate in that post)

3) On a more serious note I don't think Royal Blood would dull as such but I see where you're coming from.

I hope Dave's love of TJF will mean they'll get a support slot. Deserve it.
