I love the Acoustic Stage, Kacey Musgraves does very catchy country music, Tinariwen one of the very best world music acts - hypnotic vibes, Dexy's have a couple of true classics, Suzanne Vega very accomplished and Fishermen's friends great fun....

I was inside the year the block of banked seats sunk in the ground { by a few feet } and its amazing no one was killed as it tilted so much people fell off their seats - must have been a wet year { what a surprise }

Had to have been ages ago so sometime in the 80's as there was very few Stewards and Security was about and while they were trying to evacuate the area there was others who were trying to climb into the empty seats - I was working in that area the whole weekend so I was able to inspect it when no one was about - the actual banking had been built using scaffolding poles and they were just sitting directly on the ground so it was a accident waiting to happen.

I like the Acoustic area but its been many years since I have been inside as I just keep recalling that night when many came very close to being crushed.

Watching Proclaimers play Sunshine on Leith with my Dad there last year was my moment of the festival.

Variety is the spice of life, try and get round as much as you can.

I saw an awesome gospel choir in there last year banging out loads of great sing a long songs.

Yeah, true-ish. She didn't fall in as such. The floor plate weld had come lose from the upright bit. She didn't realise till she had ....erm.....started and saw the gaping maw underneath her feet.

I remember the tiered seating made from scaffold poles etc. Went to see Julie Felix? ( I think ) and maybe Roy Harper, could have the year wrong but maybe 87?

I used to think it was a pretty souless place back then, but having revisited years later it is quite a nice space if you can crawl past the chair dwellers. Always been a great bar up there.

Love the Acoustic Stage, such a great venue to get away from it all for a bit. Can't even remember the names of most of the acts I've seen in there but some of my favourite times have been spending a couple of hours either cooling off from the heat or taking shelter from the rain. The nature of the place generates a very very chilled atmosphere

Never actually made it along for an act there last year but I'll definitely be hoping to make up for that this year. At this point Kacey Musgraves is the most likely act to pull me along, but given that only around a third of the line-up for the stage has been announced, that could easily change.

No, which DVD is this. TBH I knew very little about Love or Lee prior to the gig just went as there was nothing else I fancied and my friend recommended it, but so glad I did.

But having just read the line up it seems that both these gigs where on the same night. Love subbing Acoustic and Spiritualised headlining the New Tent.
