May announcement date?

What are peoples thoughts on when the May announcement will be? Will it be the 1st of May or will it be as someone said 6 or 8 weeks before the festival, will it be 6-8 weeks before the Saturday slot? I cant remember peoples music contract knowledge but it seemed quite a good educated guess could be made.

Just wondering when to get checking efests, twitter and glasto web sites, like I don't already frequent them daily hourly

That's my prediction and I'll be checking on here like a fool until I hear otherwise.

Towards the end I'd imagine, I'm trying not think about it. Gonna go and listen to The War On Drugs now, by the time I've got into their album there'll be hundreds more bands to discover.

They haven't got any reason to hurry it other than people bugging them for it so I think they'll take their time and just release it when they're ready to. Could be any time.

Would be nice to have it on my birthday, but probably won't as it's on Sunday 18th. The knowledge that I'll be seeing the artists I'll be listening to during uni work at glasto should get me through the hell of exam season!

do we think we'll get day and stage splits, then the full full lineup in 2 goes or pretty much just one massive drop with the full lineup, also being the first time they confirm any day or stage splits?

Don't think they will do timing until June as things shuffle about a bit till then but hoping for stages so we can make educated guesses with clash finder

oh yeah i wouldnt expect the stage times till june

even once we've had the full announcement they are always adding stages and artists anyway. just have to sit tight i guess!

its quite good the lineup names being out but until we have stages and days its not really very meaningful to me

My guess is they'll release a full line up and stage allocation in mid-May. That's about six weeks before it begins. Then in early-mid June, we'll get timings as well. Just a guess.

The full line-up is out at the beginning of June, apparently. I don't think they'll do it towards the end if that is true. They could however just be announcing the headliner in May though, couldn't they?

I'm going away 2-5 May with my Glasto group and we'll have no phone signal/internet/TV at all so would be awesome if it was announced on the 1st!

The lineup we will get in May will probably be "quite full" in terms of the larger stages. And we'll know who is playing where and when.

The June announcement will see just about every nook and cranny of the festival filled with stuff, lovely lovely stuff.
