Just realised I've gone wildly over budget. My spending money is still £50 a day but with no buffer. I had hoped to take £100 on top just to play it safe but that's not there any more.

Snap. I've reserved a room in Shepton Mallet (can cancel for free up to the 21st), but am now leaning towards catching a NE coach as there's space on the one leaving Cardiff at 5am Weds...or I may just drive...agghhh!

I've got Tuesday (and maybe Monday) free, so am investigating staying somewhere nearby Tuesday night. But struggling to find somewhere I can easily get to (and then to the festival) all via public transport!

You've probably left it a little late to get a decent price on rooms, but assuming you want to arrive at the festival as early as possible Bristol, Yeovil and Taunton should all be viable options. Last time I checked (last year) they've all got trains to Castle Cary early enough that you should reach PGA before gates open.

Yeovil is also where the first train to Castle Cary travels through on Wednesday morning, so if you get the first one, you'll beat everyone else arriving by train.

Thanks for the advice. I've found Shepton Mallet too inaccessible for public transport, but Yeovil looks handy - then a short train journey and shuttle bus Wednesday morning.
