Is it worth it for 2 nights?

In relation to ticket price, there is a lot of festivals that you will pay similar money and they normally only run friday to sunday. so price wise youll not get anything better when your off work.

so do you go to glastonbury for 2 nights for £210

or wait to end of term and go to another for roughly the same price (bearing in mind you'll lose £15 admin fee)

If you've been a few times before you shouldn't need to ask the question. You know how much there is to do and see and whether it's worth it for two nights.

I personally wouldn't bother just for two nights. But I don't particularly go for the music as much as the bimbling around the site, which takes several days and nights. It's a bit of a buggeration when you feel by Friday that you'd better fit in a bit of music. But each to their own.

I'm also lucky in that all those who employ me know that there's no point in even asking me to work Glastonbury week. Quite a few of them are Glasto old hands themselves so they understand.

My friend was teaching in Reading in 2011. She managed to get to us Friday afternoon.. not quite sure on the time, but it was ages before the headliner because we had to go off and find her some wellies to buy. Then she stayed over on Sunday but got the first train out of Castle Cary, allowing her to get back to work in time.

It might be worth looking at getting a middle of the night coach to get home? That way you can sleep on the coach and get home in enough time to shower and head to work.

If there is no possible way of getting a bit of time off I would still say to head down anyway. Look on the positive side of it if that's possible, your going to be there for two days only, dont pace yourself and go at it hell for leather for the two days

Maybe try organize someone to lift you on the Sunday night, means you can have a few drinks on the Sunday (if you drink that is) and don't have to worry about the drive home

You could leave at 1am get home for 3am get a few hours kip and go to work. Then you are doing Friday 2pm to Sunday 1am plenty of party time.

I feel your pain though I was gutted one year when I couldn't arrive until Thursday because of a job interview. I soon caught up though so agree think of it as a sprint rather than a marathon!

I've done it twice (2010 and 2011) and it's definitely worth it. In 2010, I had friends going up before who pitched my tent for me and took my stuff in so as soon as I was on site I was good to go. If I'm honest, it took me a while to get into the swing of things but it was a top weekend (although it was my least favourite Glastonbury but that was nothing to do with the timescale.)

2011, we didn't have anyone else going up before us so we rocked up at about 7 o'clock on the Friday, found a bit of room in Bushy Ground to pitch our tents and we were away. Had a fantastic weekend, only topped by 2009 for me.

Both times I left after the headliners, but I'm only 2 hours away so it's not too bad a journey. Plus, I was just doing TA work at the time which was doable on a fuzzy head!

You can still make plenty of lifelong memories in those 2 and a bit days. Do it.
